I attended with 3 friends on Mother's Day weekend for a spa morning. Wow! The place was immaculate with fantastic service. The facilities were beautiful. There is so much space to explore and the venue didn't feel overbooked. Service by the pools and the restaurant were great. The hot afternoon tea was the best I've had. We were not disappointed and can't wait to return. Thank you Low Wood team.

Visited the spa a couple of times now and I'd say it's the best day Spa I've been to. It's thoughtfully laid out and the facilities are many and varied. Cocktails are served in the outdoor pools too which adds to the feeling of luxury. The staff are attentive and friendly and the different areas are all well maintained and very clean.
We also had the wood fired afternoon tea which was superb and again the staff were attentive and friendly.
I live fairly locally so haven't stayed in the rooms and can't comment but if the rest of the hotel is anything to go by, I'd expect them to be excellent.

Enjoyed a spa day here with my better half, the service was amazing, always someone on hand to direct you. The massage was super relaxing too. Complimentary brownies definitely won us over. All the facilities where spotless, the free smoothie with the spa day package we bought was a nice touch. Then the afternoon tea which followed was incredible, they catered for my wife who is vegetarian and we left full and very happy. We will be back.

I can’t recommend this place enough. We stayed for 2 nights and it was fabulous. Beautiful & immaculately clean rooms and the spa was great. A wonderful location and stunning views. But best thing about Low Wood Bay was the staff, every single one of them was so polite and friendly and genuinely couldn’t do enough for you. I will definitely be going back!

Beautiful views and exceptionally nice staff. It takes a while to get used to the light switches in the rooms. And since we were traveling with a tour group I found it odd they failed to give me my dessert last evening but the remainder of our tour group did get theirs.

I did the thermal journey, manly tea, and massage. The thermal journey was amazing. The facilities are second to none, and the location is astounding. The massage therapist was very good and the waiting area had plenty to drink and snack on while waiting. The manly tea was enjoyable with the food being pretty good. I will certainly be going back at some point for another thermal journey. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful resort, in a stunning location. We managed to get a room with a balcony and lake view, and those views did not disappoint! Despite the frosty weather, we could not pass up having a morning coffee in the balcony, or stargazing before bed. We dined at the Blue Smoke, and it was a fantastic experience! Both hotel and restaurant staff were warm and welcoming. A shame we didn't have enough time to enjoy the pool or the spa, but will be returning for that purpose!

What a lovely couple of hours at the Low Wood Spa. We booked the Twilight Spa 4.30pm to 6:30pm for a date night. The photos on-line DO NOT do the Spa justice… it’s beautiful, so much bigger than we expected & so much attention to detail! From the moment we arrived at the car park gate, the chap who directed us was helpful & friendly, the reception staff were smiley, helpful & informative, the Spa staff & outside bar staff were all just lovely with lots of attention to detail.

The robes & towels were all a good fit, the locker wrist bands & lockers all worked . Showers, pools (x3), hot tubs x 4 & Sauna/steam rooms were all clean & working. Note: Remember your flip flops (although they are available for sale at the Spa reception)

The outside bar serve all their drinks in good quality plastic cups with a great drinks menu. We were offered frozen melon pieces, flavoured water & cold flannels when in the hot tub.

My only disappointment (very small issues though) were people claiming the inside loungers & chairs around the inside pool areas & no-one laid or sat on them. There were plenty of hanging places for towels & robes. Outside could have done with a covered area or tiny lockers for phones/books/kindles as when in the pool/hot tub outside there was nowhere to leave them al& it was raining heavily.

We will definitely be back, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thankyou 🩷

Absolutely everything about my spa day was wonderful. I've been to a few 5 star spa venues but this place beats them hands down. Staff were lovely, attentive and visible, the spa was busy enough to be fun and sociable and quiet enough for every area of the spa to be accessible. The setting is stunning. Loved being served cocktails outside in the warm infinity pool overlooking Lake Windermere. And then the woodfired cream tea - wow. We had the veggie version and devoured the lot (didn't eat for 24 hours after, I was so full 🤣)

This place is now on my treat list and I'll be back.

The spa is a MUST for a Lake District trip. So well provisioned, very high spec. Great selection of sauna/steam rooms inside and outside. Infinity pool and 2 jacuzzis outside overlooking the lake. The outdoor sauna was spectacular with peaceful views over lake Windermere. The outdoor bar has good drinks selections delivered to you in the outdoor pool.

What a lovely Mothers day experience, all the staff were so friendly and helpful, hannah was amazing and very professional with the scrub, the thermal journey was lovely, even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits. Loved the afternoon tea to finish. Thank you to all the staff that made two mums feel very appreciated xx

From start to finish our stay was excellent!
We started off in the spa. It was clean and had so much on offer the three hours just flew by. You can order any drinks you like, hot or cold, reasonably priced.
We then checked in and again the room was lovely and clean and really relaxing to stay in.
We used the gym a couple of times during our stay, of which is very well kitted out. You also have access to the pool, sauna, infra red room and jacuzzi in the main spa but at the top during spa closing times.
On our last day we checked out and had the smoked afternoon tea. I am gluten and dairy free and they accommodated this exceptionally well. You get a free hot drink with it too. It was really delicious and really well priced. Service from start to finish was excellent and we will definitely be back again. Such an enjoyable stay.

Amazing spa day. Fantastic massage followed by numerous hot tubs. Although it was pouring down we couldn't resist going outdoors to try the pool & hot tubs. Brilliant view over lake Windermere. Then nice hot coffee & brownies before indoor pool, infrared room, sauna & hot tub. Wood smoked afternoon tea in the restaurant was fantastic. Absolutely great day with great company.

Highly recommend this spa and the savoury afternoon tea! The views were incredible and staff were always willing to help. I had a 50 minute treatment from Charlotte which was one of the best I’ve ever had!

Spectacular spot. Especially enjoyed the outdoor spa, with the most stunning views over lake Windermere straight from the infinity pool or fell sauna. It opens up in the morning at 7.30 am for £15 for those guests who haven't booked a full spa session. Would strongly recommend!

What a beautiful place to stay. The food is amazing and Uber tasty. Rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The view over Windermere at breakfast time was out of this world. 10/10. Would definitely go again. You won't be disappointed.

Actually I enjoyed my stay in Low Wood bay resort & Spa. Very clean and nice rooms including disk, iron, fan, kettle, tea, coffee, nice illumination, clean bathroom. Parking slots are available and plenty. Restaurant is very nice. Multiple meeting rooms available, swimming pool is available, very nice view on the district lack. I am not sure about the Halal food options however they arranged a Halal option when requested in advance for our group (>40 person), I think it worth it to ask in advance.

This is a lovely Hotel big parking space but near 3pm fills very quickly. Walked to the door met by concierge, who informed us that reception is downstairs, there is a lift.
Reception was quite busy as people trying to book in at 3pm. However the ladies were polite and spent the time booking us in plus into the blue smoke that night. Asked if we wanted someone to take our luggage up to our room up 1 floor there is easier way but that means going to the door we came in then to the exit to the right.
The room (Hazel) was big as was the toilet and bed. (See photos).
The bed is comfortable for us the Prosecco and Grasmere ginger was a nice touch. There was a few bumps etc see photos, this was not obvious places but still puzzled over the settee position cannot see the TV at all.
The hot water is best I have ever seen in any hotel, soon as you turn on it's very HOT excellent, the shower has a rain water head and hand shower as well in a big cubicle.
Went down to the Bar the barman was lovely and friendly, as we found out as are all the staff. The cocktails 2 first was free and very good. The seats in the lounge are quite low for us we are over 65, but there are some good high chairs in the snack part, tried the deep fried beer battered halloumi it is delicious as was the spicey chicken wings did not take long to come through.
Glad we booked the blue smoke the food was very very good, the lamb was big and soooooo tasty the ribs was a huge portion and the glaze was awesome. Had a meal here another night and was next the open kitchen was great watching chefs quietly cooking our meal.....
Afternoon tea is an experience and go hungry (see photo).
Breakfast is a good buffet and they make the porridge and egg specials to order lovely was very quite from 7.30 till 8.30 staff here were so friendly an informative for places to visit etc.
Thank you Ana and Richard.
The pool has multi levels ways to get into the pool was warm the hot tub was lovely and big, steam room was hot all the time, the infrared sauna is interesting you do sweat after awhile and there are towels in the sauna.
We enjoyed our stay here the staff are great but be aware there is a service charge in the bar and smoke, mind you it does say option!!
Would we stay again yes there is a bus service literally at the door to and from Windermere or Ambleside £2 each way handy. What also helps is the view onto the lake from all parts of the hotel. Recommend

Simply breathtaking location and spa. Really loved our day here, watching the sun set across lake Windermere with a drink in hand. Loads of different sections across indoor and outdoor pools, saunas and jacuzzis. Staff were really attentive - couldn't be happier with our stay.
