Everywhere you visit in the lakes is just beautiful and here is no different and you will not be disappointed! I would recommend visiting rydal mount where William wordsworth lived and the gardens which are just stunningly beautiful. Lots of little nooks and colours and scenery to explore. After rydal mount and gardens I'd absolutely recommend taking the next part of your wander down to rydal hall and it's grounds...the falls are breathtaking. You can explore the woods and then enter the grounds through the gate by the tea room to explore even more hidden gems like the Grot and Waterfall. Tearoom and toilets available at both rydal mount and rydal hall. Parking at rydal mount is free only with admissions paid to rydal mount. For this parking, Drive past Rydal hall up to the top of the hill and you will see the parking for rydal mount. You can leave the car there once you have explored the house and gardens and want to explore rydal hall. Enjoy 😊

The last home of William Wordsworth - what more can I say? It was a gloomy day close to the Spring Equinox, and it drizzled. But we loved it. Little waterfalls, tons of super green moss, brooks, hills, a sculpture trail, and a very lovely café with the best chocolate cake ever. We'll be back mid or late spring, so we can witness this beautiful place on it's green dress.

We visited Rydal Mount and Gardens whilst on a break in the Lake District. It is the family home of Wordsworth. Lovely gardens and I learnt a lot about Wordsworth from the information in the house. It transports you back in time. There is also a cafe which is quite small but there's some nice outdoor seating and the woman serving was lovely.

Stunning views amazing gardens. Loved it here and so cheap. 10 pound per car and then money off tea and coffee. The waterfalls are stunning. Would recommend

Very interesting, emotive and homely house. Gardens lovely with it's beautiful and colourful rhododendrons and azaleas. The tea room is small but there's plenty of seating outside, in front of the house, with gazebos for those inclement days. Well worth a visit.

Loved this place. Just toured the gardens but well worth it. Amazing view and friendly cat. Couldn't afford the cost of Wordsworths museum so doing this gave us a sense of a little of his life. Really recommend.

A brilliant visit to Rydal Mount. The displays and collection are excellent and the guided tour was great. Leo is incredibly knowledgeable and it was so interesting to stand in a house that once hosted so many literary greats. Definitely recommend a visit here.

The gardens were wonderful but a bit steep in places. The staff were very friendly Nd helpful. I only bought a garden ticket £5 and that included parking. Excellent place to stop and gather your thoughts. And a special mention to Dora the Cat.

Wonderful place to visit. Tour guide gave us a nice presentation and then let us explore the manor. The gardens were nice, though the steps can be a little tricky deeper in. Pretty views.

A great visit, really informed and enthusiastic younger guide (book a tour, it's worth it!) the house feels quite contemporary, and many rooms are open which we enjoyed, and the 5 acres of gardens are varied, planned and tended for many years by Wordsworth himself, we were lucky with the weather too! Really recommend.

Very friendly staff. We arrived late and they were very accommodating and did not turn us away. It was nice to meet a descendant, young Rufus.

Exploring Wordsworth's home, seeing things from his perspective made his poetry more relatable. Beautiful gardens.

Just beautiful! The Wordsworth home is carefully maintained. The self-guided tour made it possible to immerse yourself in the environment and imagine being Wordsworth. The gardens and paths were absolutely gorgeous. I appreciated the signage to learn about the vegetation growing in the the gardens Wordsworth planned and designed. I also loved the signs of his poetry and historical tidbits. We were traveling with a group and were only able to stay a few hours, but I could have easily spent a full day in the gardens alone. So peaceful and serene listening to the birds sing and the breezes rustling the leaves of the trees.

Although the hall was closed when we attended, the gardens were beautiful. We had a lovely walk up the Beck and saw numerous waterfalls in a stunning location. A well maintained path, and beautiful clear water.
