A good park with three separate play areas, an area for older children and younger children. There is also a goof sized picnic area with lots of benches.

Amazing views of the local area was happy to push my son all day on the swings! There are toilets near the car park but they are 60p entry.

A short walk from the town to get to park alongside the church and school.

A gateway to so many good walks. We’ve walked through here onto Rydal water (onto Grasmere) or over to Tarn Hows (then Coniston). You can also come here to simply kick a ball or enjoy one of the kids play areas.

Quite a large park, lots to do and plenty of equipment for the kids. We just walked in from our B+B so I can't comment on the parking. Plenty of seating for parents and the views are spectacular. There are walks around the area if you have dogs. It is a short walk from the town and there are plenty of signs for directions. The park looks well maintained and tidy. If your here and want to waste some time it's worth a visit.

The children's play park is great with all sorts of equipment in good repair. Sadly the road there has a couple of small car parks on so people drive down there to park so walking down there with your kids feels a little hairy.

This is an outstanding play park and we visited with the kids every single day of our week in Ambleside - they would have stayed all day if they could. There is a huge rocky outcrop that they can climb and play on as well as a big variety of swings, slides etc. I watched a game of football for an hour when Ambleside were playing at home and I also did the parkrun here on Saturday (3 and a bit laps, some of it on grass) It's a quality place with great views, lovely location. Wish it was in my town!

Playground is large with lots of things to climb on (both designed and natural rocks) in an open space surrounded by beautiful scenery. Really nothing to dislike! There are benches scattered all around and some away from the main area (with a slide) should you wish. Gets a bit busy around 11, and it's open 7-9pm.

A large park to the north of Ambleside. Take a stroll along the paths that follow the river, quiet & peaceful away from the hub-hub of Ambleside. Great views of the fells as well, continue over the bridge to Brathay church which is very nice also.

The most beautiful well kept park I've ever visited. While my daughter was doing an ultra marathon we stopped at the park as it was her 1st pitstop, me and the 2 girls (my dogs) walked round every inch of the park and loved every second, firstly most of the walks are under the trees so it's lovely and cool, the paths are flat and very well cared for, the railings around the river that entwines through the park are very close together so safe for young children to run free. There are 3 children's play areas and they were beautiful and amazing, zip wires, tyre swings, trampolines everything a child could want. Huge football fields full of children playing with there dads while mummies ran round after the toddlers, every blade of grass was cut to perfection, every path clean and tidy and not one dog poo spotted in the 6 hours I spent there. There is a great little real coffee (and tea) stand at one entrance and I was served by a lovely young lady who made me feel like I was her only customer! A great car park at the front of the park and only £7 for the whole day and one half is under trees so your car is shaded. I honestly cannot recommend this park highly enough even for day out and a picnic or a romantic walk through its just perfect.

Lovely park, nice for run around or a pleasant stroll. Next to a babbling brook and close to the town. Recently reimagined the children's playground which has been very well designed and added lots more activities. The kids loved it!

Lots to do, great for big kids too. Lots of equipment for all ages, think this is the best play park we have been to (that's free and isn't attached to/in an attraction that you have to pay for.) Kids loved it. Good place to visit before going to Hayes Garden Centre.

Fantastic fireworks display for the lantern parade on Saturday 17th November . TRAVEL ADVICE: PARKING IN AMBELSIDE IS A NIGHTMARE park up in Windermere and get boat to ambelside, last one is around 3pm (please check first)..perfect to catch the sunset. After firework display get a bus back to Windermere they run until late (again check)

Lots of interesting equipment in the play park. It's a nice walk through the few trees to and along the river but no flower beds.
