Lovely park by the lakeside. Cherry blossom looks beautiful which was planted in the memory of Hiroshima. Just next to the park is "Roman fort" (remains).

Lovely park near the lake, lots of close by amenities and gift shops. Nice place for a picnic in the summer, short walking distance from ambleside Town.

Lovely park with a view onto, as well as into the lake. It's a shame about the fallen trees not being picked up sooner as the path was blocked and the trail was muddy from people needing to use the grass... I asked a nice little bird to wait for me to take a photograph, and it did! We enjoyed the walk in the nicer winter weather. It's worth a visit. The Roman Fort is right next to it as well! Go go go 🤗😄

The most meaningful place to me on planet earth.

Where I asked my wife to marry me, and where I spread her ashes with our little boy just 5 years later.

An amazing spot at the north of Lake Windermere, but please treat it with respect.

Had a great time in the Lake District in Borrans Park when we had a heat wave in July. It was so picturesque, I was amazed by the stone houses as we where approaching this area via car. It felt like I was somewhere in Italy. I would 100% visit again. I would recommend doing a picnic. I had a chance to swim in the lake to the other side, which was so refreshing.

Spent a lovely late afternoon picnic at Borrans park on the banks of lake Windermere. A fantastic spot for all the family. Good choices of grass sitting or seats and picnic tables. Kids loved splashing by the water too. Definitely a repeating activity.

Borrans Park is a beautiful park in Ambleside, a small and beautiful town in the lake district of England. The town is by the side of Lake Windermere, the biggest natural lake of England and generally considered to be the entry point to the lake district.

A lovely scenic park near the North end of Lake Windermere. There are small beaches from which you can swim and launch kayaks and paddle boards. Google had incorrectly assigned the opening hours to be that of the office of The South Lakeland District Council. The website doesn't say what the opening hours of the park are: it was certainly open when I visited on a Saturday morning.

Really nice and clean. Good signage and access. Not really anywhere to park specifically for it. Leads to the Roman ruins and a nice walk alongside the river and through the flowers in the fields. Watch out for the cows!

Lovely little park with great views of the lake. Cheap beers and a great view of the Langdale pikes from the YHA. Lakeside access for children to splash around in the shallows, close to a former Roman fort and a pleasant riverside stroll back into Ambleside village. Take on the challenge of spotting the plaque marking the site of Arthur Ransome's "North Pole".

Great family place for picnics. The water laps against the rocks. Real tranquil place. On;y paid £5.50 for four hours parking just across the road.

Great little park, some lovely places with benches over looking Windermere. Lovely spot for a picnic. With the Roman ruins also at the end of the park makes it a great little place.

It's nice. Get down to the shore early with a coffee to watch the sun rise across the lake at least once, you won't regret it
