This was a cozy haven after some rough travel. We so enjoyed Clare & Matt the owners of this lovely place. If we ever go back to England this where we will be heading.

I'd love to give Colman's 1 or 0 stars to keep it a hidden gem and guarantee a camping spot for myself! It has to be 5 stars all the way. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and have booked again for a return visit. Matt and Clare were very welcoming on my arrival and directed me to my camping pitch, you can park you car at the side of you pitch while setting up then you are requested to park outside the camping area which affords more pitch area for yourself. The campsite is well set out with hedge rows and boundary stone walls enclosing it. The pitches are level with easy reach electric hook up if purchased. The campsite is dog friendly, they are just required to be on a leash which is no problem. The amenities are spotless and cleaned thoroughly every day. There is a small shop on site for those essential items. There are a couple of local dog friendly pubs within walking distance, both have a good selection of real ales and there's also a small convenience shop at the local fuel station within a few minute walk. If you are going to be up and at it and will be limited for sorting breakfast, a pre order breakfast menu was available (you may need to check to see if this is still available). Aysgarth falls are within easy walking distance of the campsite through the farmer fields and an enjoyable circular walk to Bolton castle and back with watering holes (pubs) on the way. It is an excellent location for a base if you love your walking, there are too many to mention, a Google search of the area will show you what is around.
I'm looking forward to my return.

A Friend and I stayed for a weekend (2 nights) and everything was perfect. The room was impeccable, Clare is an amazing host who seems to truly be enjoying what she does and perfects every single detail, whether it is breakfast, rooms or recommendations.
Would recommend without hesitation and would definitely go again.

Excellent site with clean and well maintained facilities. A friendly welcome from the owners. There is hard standing pitches for caravan and campervans though some levelling may be required on some of them. There is a village shop at the nearby garage and 2 pubs serving drinks and food nearby. A gentle walk takes you to the falls so no need to drive off the site. A walkers paradise as many are available from the site. A regular bus runs from outside the site as well.

Great campsite! It has a good layout - the pitches are a decent size, so you have plenty of space, and there are hedges dotted around which give a bit of privacy around your pitch. Quiet at night. Good facilities with very clean toilets and shower rooms. There are kettles, toasters, and a fridge/freezer for campers to use as well as picnic benches. Really close to the local shop and the pub.

I'm so impressed with this campsite! A warm greeting from friendly owners, breakfast brought to my tent, very good facilities including a hairdryer, and a very short walk to an excellent pub. Brilliant place to stay for a good rest while walking The Herriot Way.

The best B&B I have stayed in! We had such a fab weekend staying there for a wedding we were attending at Bolton Castle. Clare & Matt were so welcoming and friendly, the rooms were so immaculate and comfortable!! The facilities were well thought out and we even enjoyed a few extra little treats......which I still need the recipe for!! Breakfast was brilliant......literally cannot fault anything and can't wait to book another stay. Thanks again :)

One of the nicest caravan sites I've been to. Great location with superb facilities! The pitches are a good size and not too close to each other so you have some privacy.
I didn't use it, but you can get a breakfast bap at a good rate as well if needed.
The toilets are out of this world! Clean, warm and tidy with showers that have a good amount of space with good pressure and a rain shower as well!!
Would for sure use again and think you should as well!!

I stayed in the Colman’s B and B for two nights this week. It is absolutely stunning! The rooms are modern, warm,, tastefully and immaculately decorated, spotlessly clean and spacious with great facilities lovely touches! All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a high end finish. The variety of rooms mean they can accommodate solos, couples, families and groups. The communal areas are also spotlessly clean, fresh and beautifully appointed. Clare and Matt provide an exceptionally warm and friendly welcome to guests! Set in the North Yorkshire National Park, this is a gorgeous gem from which to explore the local area and it’s amenities … and it’s open all year round! If I could give it 10 stars I would !!!

Colman's is a wonderful place to stay. Everything was exceptional and Clare is a brilliant host. You won't be disappointed staying here, it was by far THE BEST B&B on The Herriot Way. Amazing breakfast too! Thanks Clare.

Beautiful place to stay! Clare and Matt are very welcoming and friendly. I have a food intolerance and they catered for my needs... the over night oats were delicious, also a good hearty breakfast. We stayed for two nights in the b&b, it was spotless and the bed and pillows were a joy to sleep on, we had the best night's sleep. You get everything you need in there, kettle, tea, coffee, scrummy treats, milk and water are in the fridge in the hall way you just help yourself to a bottle, they also leave out wine glasses should you wish to have a tipple in your room. They will also come in and freshen your room and replenish everything daily. The grounds were immaculate, the camping site looked lovely and the facilities looked spotless too, also have a little play area for the kiddies. Would definitely recommend which we have already. We will definitely be back for another visit. Love Emma and Ryan x

We have just returned home after a week staying in our touring caravan and one word about this site, Amazing. Clare & Matt are fantastic hosts and their attention to detail is great, so friendly and welcoming. We hope to return in the not too distant future. Oh, almost forgot, their home cooked meals are soooooo tasty, wait until you try the puds, yum yum.

Have visited the campsite every year for the last 4 years, at least once a year. The prices are reasonable (unlike lots of campsites hiking the prices super high), location is fabulous, lots to do in the area. Facilities are 10/10 (toilet, shower & pot wash) and the owners Matt & Claire are very helpful about the site and also the local area. Couldn't recommend highly enough and the google reviews reflect that!

Exceptionally welcoming and accommodating hosts, a beautiful location and 100% all-out hospitality and facilities, nearby a great little town holding all we needed (shops, pubs, etc.). We stayed on a hard/electric pitch in a campervan and had a everything we needed.

Been to sty here several times now in the B&B every time is just such a wonderful experience, Clare and Matt are THE perfect hosts. With stunning rooms that are perfectly finished with little touches and amazing views of the gorgeous Yorkshire DALE'S, there really is no better place to stay.
Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and they really do make you feel like part of the family.
