Amazing shop, Nick and Ollie were great really knew about all the kit. Would recommend to anybody. The shop has a friendly atmosphere and felt comfortable asking questions.

Thank you Georgia, for dropping off my order at my home address. It had been mistakenly delivered to the shop in Ambleside and Georgia made the trip to my address in Kendal to make sure I received it. That's above and beyond the call of duty, thank you so much! It was a Moya fleece, excellent kit!

Best customer service i've experienced for a long long time!

I recently sent my old beloved ski jacket up for repair, having talked at length on the phone with Georgia about what needed doing, and being by her service. I explained I needed it back fairly quickly for an upcoming ski trip, and Georgia said she'd do all she could to fast track it for me.

Sadly after it arrived, I got a call from Nick to say it was beyond repair, he refunded all of my money to me straight away, and then also gave me loads of brilliant advice on how to better care for the new jacket i now need to buy. Very helpful, very friendly, I really appreciated the advice.

I thought that was the end of it... but this morning i've received my old jacket back in the post (having not paid for postage), and inside that they've included product to re-waterproof my new jacket, and a lovely hand written note from Nick and Georgia, with instructions on how to use it.

What amazing and lovely people... if everyone was like Nick and Georgia, the world would be a better place. Thanks for your help and being so kind.

Phoned to reserve a bike...and received prompt service. Drove over to pick the bike up...staff in store could not have been more friendly and helpful. One even made me a brew whilst my son tested the bike! A pleasure to deal with.

Popped in during our recent camping trip for a 3 seasons sleeping bag (needing something more substantial than my 2 seasons one). Very helpful staff talked me through all the options of synthetic Vs down and differences in weight/performance for what I'd be using it for.

They also welcomed our dog like a VIP and he had a lovely time napping while we looked at boring sleeping bags.

Will definitely visit again when we need any more camping or hiking gear.

Called in at Alpkit Ambleside today to order a gravel bike. Great service from Lucy who helped with friendly advice and explained the order process and support available if necessary. Alpkit are a great company to deal with. I am looking forward to having fun on the bike. Thanks..!!

My favourite outdoors brand. Helpful staff and good safety measures in place (covid). I’m always amazed at the quality for a fair price of alpkit products. Great to see them doing their bit for the community / environment too - litter picking, collection of used items for charity, and a repair service. Seeing a welcome transition toward more sustainable / recycled materials in products too.

Bought a kangri 2 person tent here, unfortunately I couldn't arrive any earlier than 5:50pm, 10 minutes before they were due to close. However the team were more than happy to take me through the set up and assisted in any way possible. Really pleased with the product and the overall experience. Will definitely be returning to Alpkit.

Staff were really helpful and friendly in buying a wetsuit, they had direct experience swimming in the alpkit wetsuits and were able to best advise on sizing. Also great to see the range of alpkit products in person

I have so much alpkit gear I need another wardrobe. It's such good value and thoughtfully designed. Store was ace with very knowledgeable staff. I'd take part in the many organised events from the store if only I lived closer. Their ethos will keep me coming back.

Bought gaiters on my last visit there. Wore them all week. Good length and fit. Staff are very friendly here and it's becoming a brand that I am buying a lot more of, either here or online.

Good quality clothing, good designs & a friendly team within the store. They also do a reproofing service on outdoor gear which I will more than likely use in the future based on my experience of the company so far.
