Great welcome and greeting upon arrival.
Ordered the "wings and ribs"
Within minutes of arrival this amazing dish lay before us and it was superb... so tasty.. almost no words....

All you can eat meant literally that. 3 plates later and I could eat no more...

Lovely traditional pub food of high quality, cooked to perfection. Great, friendly service, deserts to die for, and dog friendly! Highly recommended.

Didn't book, but we got a table immediately, despite it being a very popular venue. Traditional style pub, but a great menu with locally sourced ingredients. Quick, friendly service and our meals arrived quickly. Table service, so no long queues waiting at the bar to order. The meals were amazing, the desserts out of this world. They even have a loyalty scheme, so you earn money off for later visits. Thoroughly recommend a visit

We went along for the wings and ribs night and had a very enjoyable meal. Superb value for money. It was £18.99 for unlimited chicken wing, pork ribs, chips and slaw.

My only criticism, and it's only a very small one would be to have to sauce on the side. Also maybe add a couple of additional dipping sauces to the menu. I'm personally not a bbq fan and this was their sauce of choice. I know I'm in the minority of loving bbq sauce.

Great value food, with a varied menu, in an old traditional style pub. Called in mid afternoon when many other places weren’t serving food. Delighted that food is served here all day. Recommend by friends and will definitely return.

Just sampled the all-you-can-eat (wings, ribs and sides) I can not stress how good it was the ribs are just on another level

I have always loved this place. I love it even more after a visit today and they now do a gluten free roast! The food was so good, the portions are huge, the staff are lovely… the rest of my friends attest that the deserts are also delicious (I was too full!). All round great traditional pub vibe, and you won’t leave hungry!

We were made very welcome. The food oh what can I say about it that would be doing it justice. The steak was done how I like which is usual. My friend has dietary requirements and they catered for that the whole way through her meal. There was no rushing of the food we could eat at are pace. Thank you all would recommend you to anyone. Monday is all you can eat curry night & it's fantastic.
4 different curries, veg dish, rice, a tray of bhaji, samosas, nann bread, poppadoms. Plus you can request more of anything.
Mark, was very friendly & made sure we had all we needed.

Excellent food, good service and great atmosphere. Really good value for money with good portion sizes and excellent range of food. Daily special offers look very interesting.

Absolutely brilliant meal. Garlic bread was lovely and the meal portions were huge!! Couldn't manage a pudding although the choices looked lovely 😥. Staff really friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend.

My wife and I have eaten three times in the last week here, including a Sunday Lunch.
The food and service are excellent - Mark and his family and team give a warm welcome and excellent service.

Particularly recommended - the Roast Beef Sunday lunch and the steak and kidney suet pudding - though this latter is not always available (ask when making a booking!)

All very good - well worth searching this place out!

Party of 3 people and all our courses were good. Traditional pub and atmosphere. Not many staff but very experienced and service was very good.
Recommended.

Had a surprise meal for my 60th, got table on time even tho they were busy. Great traditional pub atmosphere in a great restaurant. A table of 8 were treated to excellent service and dispite a electric problem the staff were superb, friendly and knowledgeable. We all had off the menu me sausage and mash my 3 sons had the unlimited wings and ribs. All 8 of us were treated to lovely food and absolutely no complaints it was simply a fantastic way to finish off my birthday. Cant wait to go back and we will definitely be back, thankyou all for making an old man extremely happy.
