Harvey's Bar / Kitchen

Had all but given up hope of finding both great food and service. The food and service here weren't just great, they were exceptional. All of the staff had personality and clearly enjoy their job. They were all outstanding in all aspects of customer service, never once forgetting or neglecting us despite it being extremely busy and the fact we were up 2 flights of stairs in the eaves. Seating us in the eaves was an act of consideration, as there was a large party of rather merry young women downstairs, very much enjoying themselves. As for the food, wow. Chefs clearly very skilled and on top of their game. Everything creative, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. I didn't think £70 for 2 x 2 courses, including 2 cocktails was pricey at all. The portions are generous too. An obviously very popular restaurant, with a vibrant vibe. All in all very difficult to fault in any way. Needless to say, we will be returning.

My friend and I visited for the festive menu tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The ricotta and butternut squash starter was superb, the hanging kebab was lovely by all accounts, the salmon was perfectly cooked and sadly I could only manage a spoonful of the mince pie Eton mess, but that was beautiful. Thank you for a lovely evening - we will return!

We were a party of 16 celebrating my daughter’s 18th. Cannot fault this place. From booking to the food and the staff, everything was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, empty plates all round. Thank you to everyone who made it a great evening.

Just had an Xmas family gathering here, and the staff were amazing. Really went the extra mile to accommodate us, with people arriving late etc. So friendly and really took gluten free requests seriously which was reassuring. Food was great as were cocktails. Main stand out though were the brilliant staff. Merry xmas and thanks very much!

A group of 6 went for a late Christmas catch up, food was absolutely excellent and a nice choice.
The cocktails are lovely and the staff were really friendly. (Can also highly recommend the Ferraro Roche shot )

Had a delicious meal here whilst visiting holmfirth. The waiter was very funny and gave us exceptional service.

The food was cooked well and tasty.

Went for lunch today and the food was so delicious.
Staff were attentive and we were very comfortable with the space having 3 young children dining with us.

We will be back.

The service was excellent, the fillet Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, skin on fries perfectly seasoned and the peppercorn sauce was the perfect complement to the meal.

7 if us came for a meal on Saturday. Food and service excellent. We were served by Freya who was absolutely wonderful.

Came here for Tapas and Wine and was not disappointed. We were seated at a table upstairs, and the airy balcony style of the restaurant felt really open and meant that even though it was busy, we didn't feel disturbed or hemmed in. The food was, as usual, delicious and the wine paired perfectly! Thanks Harvey's for a lovely meal!

We had a selection of the tapas dishes and each of them was delicious. Cozy atmosphere since the real fire was going on a cold evening (these are very rare in Holmfirth I'm sure).

Found this place by accident was supposed to go somewhere else. Lovely atmosphere and brilliant staff.We came for lunch and I would recommend the chunky chips and French Burger. Going back in a couple of weeks,taking the family.

First time in . Warm welcome and atmosphere. Not rushed waitress was lovely and professional nothing to much trouble. Deffo recommend

Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, and attentive friendly service! I Had the hanging kebab and it was delicious!!!! My partner had the burger and loved it. Topped off with a delicious birthday brownie at the end with a big sparkler. Special mention to Jack who made our dining experience great!

The best Sunday lunch I've had. Plentiful and tasty. Beautifully presented. The chefs don't get enough praise. This is all about them. Excellent food.
The service was also very good.

The Toblerone cocktail was out of this world, so good infact that I managed to consume 3 in a very short space of time. We had a fabulous meal too, definitely worth a visit 🩷

What a lovely little find. This place for food is exceptional. Had a day out in this lovely village wanted a meal, found this place and all was good, staff food and atmosphere. Right from showing us our seats to leaving. Very impressed with all service and the food we ordered

Fantastic evening highly recommended great place to eat & drink before Concert over road at Picture house will be coming again.
