Stopped by for an impromptu lunch and it was amazing. Great service and awesome food.

Sat next to a lively real fire which made the experience more enjoyable. I would definitely be back for more soon.

We had a lovely meal here for a family birthday and couldn’t have had a better experience. Food was exceptional and the staff were even better. A credit to the area.
We would happily return if in the area again.

A lovely place in a beautiful setting. Peter who was at the desk when we arrived was an excellent host and ensured that we had everything required for our stay overnight. He honestly made our stay so welcoming.
The rooms are brilliant, couldn't fault them at all.

We were fortunate enough to find the Woodman Inn for our wedding in December 2023. We had a first class experience from start to finish. Our events manager Kieran was so accommodating- if you're looking for a relaxed and flexible venue then look no further. The staff team were incredible- every single one of them. Nothing was too much trouble. Our guests spoke so highly of their experience- from the rooms, to the food and everything in between. The catering was excellent- tailored to dietary requirements without any fuss. The location is perfect- tucked away without being in the middle of nowhere. Our day was seamless, everything was so well organised and we didn't need to worry about a thing. If we could get married again, we would choose The Woodman without hesitation. What a place!

My wife and I recently treated friends to a lunchtime birthday meal at The Woodman. The food was superb, the presentation excellent and the service very good.
We would highly recommend The Woodman Inn, to which we will return in the future.

The woodman inn hosted my wedding in November and I have nothing but high praise for all of the staff and the day it’s self.

From the first show around to the day it’s self everything was taken care of. Kieron our events manager was incredible, happy to work with us to make our wedding vision come to life and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

The room looked amazing throughout the day, the food was outstanding. All of our guests have raved about the food especially.

The wedding day was seamless I didn’t have to worry about a single thing all day.

The rooms we stayed in after were comfortable tastefully decorated and we all had a good night sleep.

An out-of-the-way escape. On-site pub and resturaunt accessible by train (10-15min) walk. Enjoyed the small strip of buildings and architecture.

My son and his wife were married here this weekend. I cannot describe how wonderful it was. The organisation with Kieran was superb, nothing was too much trouble. The wedding food was outstanding, so delicious.

Received a very warm welcome, service was great and food was amazing. Lovely, dog friendly and decor made for a great ambience in this village pub - went for one of the suggested walks from the pub after eating.

Attended the best wedding i have ever been to at the woodman. Didn't stay overnight. The food and the service were first class. Highly recommend this venue.

Fantastic location with probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Great food , GREAT value and dog friendly. Perfect for a last minute family trip over the festive weekend

We had our wedding at The Woodman yesterday and it exceeded everything we ever thought it could be. From day 1 we have been shown nothing but kindness and love from all the staff at The Woodman from popping in for meetings or just rocking up for a meal.

The star in our experience is Kieran. From the day we first met Kieran he has been on hand and answered any worries or questions quickly and has done nothing but put us at ease with his calming attitude. We will be eternally thankful for helping us make the biggest day of our lives what it was and have loved getting to know you over the last two years and for the love you showed us yesterday, you and Ben were never far away and again made us laugh even in the most nervy of moments.

A huge thank you to all the chefs and front of house staff for the absolutley amazing food and service over the weekend. From Friday nights meal to the wedding breakfast itself to our breakfast this morning the consistency and attention to detail has been second to none and everyone said its the best wedding food they've had so thank you all so much.

This isn't the end of our experience with The Woodman as we will be back and can't wait to sit in the warm restaurant with a pint and reminisce about our special day.

Dog friendly and looks to be good for walkers/runners.
Accessible ground floor accommodation and seating out areas. Serves evening meals, breakfast and lunch.

We got married in the Garden Room at The Woodman and it was perfect. From the beginning everything has been relaxed, easy and straightforward. All the staff are wonderful, so friendly, helpful and flexible, and have absolutely everything under control with no dramas. I think it's great value for money. The rooms are superb, the food is amazing, the breakfast was great. We had so many guests complimenting the food, venue and staff on the day, it was fab. I can't rate or thank them enough!

Excellent food & service for our Saturday evening group of 14. Thank you to the staff (incl both managers) for your support & patience. It’s never easy to cater for such a large group but all was as we hoped.

Our day at wedding ceremony could not have gone better the venue / the staff / the service were all carried out with first class proffessional service /the food was exceptional chef gave us great quisine we stayed overnight in great accommodation overall from everyone excellent time was given 👌
