The Star

Had a family meal on Sunday (10th december) all 11 of us altogether! . The general feel of the pub was really nice with the addition of the Christmas lights and decorations were also a lovely touch. Service was great really friendly and accommodating.
I had the cheese and bacon burger which I thoroughly enjoyed!
Everyone had a great time will definitely recommending to friends.

Visited there on a Tuesday evening for a quick pint, turned into a couple more, with the recommendation from Jed I found my new beer flint eye, you have got to try it :) some nice looking items on the food menu will be trying when I get a chance, the Christmas decorations look very good not to over the top, but very posh. Will be back soon

Popped in to The Star for lunch this afternoon great service and delicious food, really good lunch time menu i had Bacon Burger and a pint for £11 great value, well presented and great taste.

I came here the other night for a few drinks and some food and I can't compliment the place enough the place itself is nice the staff are unbelievable and it was an all round great experience

Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Nice to try Inch’s cider on draught.

Great food, went in yesterday and the food looked and tasted amazing. The staff seemed to be trying their hardest but seemed to be a little short staffed but got service with a smile and great food. What more could you ask for. Will be coming back for lunch again.

Great pub, went in yesterday as it was the Bank Holiday the girl behind the bar was on her own but was still giving great service and made sure she had a smile on her face, shame it had to close at 8 but we understood. Will be back for food when the kitchen reopens as it sounds lovely and the manager suggested the pie.

We were sitting in beautiful weather outside in the beer garden. Relaxing atmosphere, staff friendly and tables were clean. Beer and cider of good quality. We did notice, that food is on offer until 9pm. Maybe next time we will try the food as well. Coming back for sure.

Always a fun time at the star, the staff are friendly and the pub looks a lot better than used to. They really seem like they care about the place now, which is nice to see.

Service is superb and the staff are customer focused, which makes for a great experience.

Could not fault The Star. Attended on a Friday eve with friends after drinking elsewhere in the afternoon. Chilly eve, but plenty of heaters and space outside. Bar staff attentive and friendly. Coming from Essex/East London, I am wary of pubs I do not know, but I found The Star hugely welcoming.

Fantastic little pub with a great outside heating area. Staff are very friendly, food came out quickly and was delicious. Try the steak and ale pie if you’re hungry.

Often drop in to the Star for a couple of drinks with friends - great place to catch up over a glass, really chilled, relaxed environment.

Good selection of drinks, not eaten in here for a long while though but will do soon as the plates that passed me by yesterday on the way out of the kitchen looked tempting!

What really makes this place is the friendly, attentive service from the bar staff, in particular the server with the cropped hair who recently came back from Amsterdam (I'm sorry I always forget to get your name!) who us always really chatty and welcoming.

Great service, Good Food, wish there was some live music sometimes but have spoke to the manager and she has said that she is looking into it. Will be back dont worry

Really nice pub. Lovely food! I went with friends, but would be equally good for a family dinner. Lady behind the bar remembered our drinks order after only one round, so was literally "same again?" next time. Which doesn't sound like a big deal, but for a first visit it impressed me greatly.
