Milk Shed Hooks Farm Dairy

Great little farm. We attended when they had an event day and wasn't disappointed. My boys enjoyed going on the tractors and seeing the cows getting milked. The milkshakes are great too! Highly recommend.

Brilliant idea. Fresh milk from a vending machine on the site of a dairy farm. They even have pictures of the cows that produce the milk and also have eggs for sale. You can choose to use a plastic bottle or buy a reusable glass one for £1. Payment at the machine can be made by card or cash. The milk is very tasty and high quality.

What a hidden gem, I've been down the road from here for years and never known, I now visit regularly for fresh shakes ! Quality little place , best place for milk / shakes in the area by far , highly recommend a visit !

Proper place, if you want fresh milk here's your go too, they have over 20 flavours for the milkshakes too, they also sell fresh farm eggs, cheese, jam.. all sorts there. very good place if you want to support your locall farmers.

Absolutely LOVE coming here. Started off with a shed and now a large room. Nice and clean. Cash and card payments.

Only suggestion would be:
Can they cater for the dairy free people?
I know sounds stupid as a dairy farm. We let our daughter have some of the syrup then go home to mix it with her soya milk so she too can have a milk shake. Would be a 10/10 if a little soya section

First time using the milk shed and what an excellent place!! We decided to have milkshakes and we will definitely be returning!! The kids loved seeing the cows on the farm too!!

Some weekends there is a local butcher with unbeatable prices on his wonderful meats

It's quite a drive but oh my goodness it's worth the drive for their fresh products - we've had fresh milk, fresh eggs and produce and it's always been fantastic quality.

We love this place and visit often. Our kids love that they can flavour the milk. Me and my partner enjoy that there is a variety of jams and chutneys aswell as other locally produced items Inc eggs and cheese.

We love the milk shed and get all of our weekly milk from here in reusable glass bottles.
We use the milk for both home and business and the family at Hooks are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended for THE best fresh farm milk around!
At £1.20 a litre or £2 for 2ltr, it's better than supermarket whole milk and for the same price. You can grab milkshakes at the shed too, along with cheese, eggs and other amazing local produce.
Check out their monthly farmers market too. 1st Saturday of every month, where they have local small businesses including veg growers, butchers and coffee van. We'll see you there next on 7th Jan 2023 😁

For the first time my husband and I visited this afternoon. Various stalls of locally grown or produced goods were being sold at competitive prices. We came away with fruit cake, vegetables, jam, cheese, butter, gammon, sausage, a coffee and of course fresh milk. I thoroughly enjoyed fussing the calves and sheep too. The event today, I believe, will be repeated on the first Saturday of the month.

Derby's best full milk venue in the area.
Fair price for milk like it always used to be.
Worth a short trip and idea for walking the dog too.
Quite a few other products are available too.

Great value fresh milk and amazing shots. Definitely recommend the creme egg shots. Everytime we go, the milk is so nice. Even better with the new machines. Kids love seeing the cows.
