Absolutely love this place. Been a few times now and the atmosphere, food and drinks are second to none. There's loads of cafes around but let's be honest there not always great and that's what makes the cornerstone cafe stand out to me and dogs are welcome! What more can you ask! It's clean and tidy, they provide games for kids for books for someone who just wants to have a chilled day there and the home made cakes are next level! Their prices on the food are also fantastic. Anyway stop reading this review and get yourself there and fill your guts!

We struggled to find a caffe on a busy Sunday and I was so happy they had seats here. I was surprised to see they had some original home made cakes. The best cafe I’ve had in a coffee house ever. It was a raspberry white chocolate sponge. Perfect. Not too sweet, you can tell they put love

First visit; very impressed - great coffee to go with a decent breakfast. Will definitely be going again, and again. Highly recommended.

Simply fabulous! Popped in originally just for coffee, but ended up ordering a six plate combo instead! The food was lovey and cooked to perfection. The staff are very pleasant and it’s a lovely atmosphere. Almost felt like being on holiday somewhere. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Really good cafe, good selection of coffee and drinks. Cafe also has original selection of vegan and gluten free items freshly cooked and served as mini plates 3 for £8.50 good way to sample a number of dishes especially if two people eating.

Beautifully decorated, clean, lovely atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff - and a delicious cooked breakfast! This was a great find and the first place we will come next time we are in Ashbourne! Thank you 😊
PS - plus a specific dairy free menu, clearly clued up on allergies and dog friendly - what’s not to like?

Not only can I highly recommend the cafe and the food but Beth kindly catered for my 40th birthday party. We had so many compliments on the food and it arrived packed plastic free which I loved. Brilliant service. Super tasty and healthy food. And her cakes are insanely good. Thank you Beth! xxx

This is a quaint establishment that serves delicious cakes and sandwiches. I have attended a couple of gatherings for my work colleagues, and we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea. On both occasions, we had a fabulous selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, delicious homemade cakes, tea, and a very tasty mocktail. I would definitely recommend this friendly Café!

Beautiful little spot of breakfast. We had a traditional breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast both were delightful, clean and filled us up. The atmosphere was lovely and the friendly staff looked after us well

Walked through Ashbourne which is very pretty and so pleased we choose this independent cafe.
The service was so warm and friendly, we picked some delicious cakes and the hot chocolates at £3 each were the best the kids have had. Also went for the small sides which were great value. Wish we had something similar in our town!

The best carrot cake in the universe. Cute menu where you can put your own combinations of bites together. Also very friendly. Fresh, good quality food at very reasonable prices.

Great coffee, amazing cake and best of all for us - brilliant selection of little bites for kids at good prices. Huxley loved his honey yoghurt with fruits and babycino! Lovely atmosphere too. Thanks so much!

Really lovely service, food and atmosphere. A huge improvement from what it used to be in that it will now appeal to a wider audience. It was always super friendly and super clean but now has come upto date and welcomes dogs too . Lovely healthy food . Highly recommend.

This is the most amazing, friendly, delicious foody café. With a changing, seasonal menu and a relaxing & welcoming environment. My whole family love it, especially our teenagers who often go from sixth form. Really different, tasty, home cooked food. I can't rate it highly enough 😎😍😋😁

Great little café with safe bets and more unusual choices included on the menu. The cake is amazing and the 3pm to 4pm £5 coffee and cake offer would be my daily indulgence if I were retired (so my waistline is better off that I am working!)

Coming from the Tissington Trail the Cornerstone Coffee House was the first cafe I saw. I had an excellent cappuccino and lovely toasted teabread with lots of butter and home made plum jam. I returned later for their nice 3 bites for one price lunch, having an excellent quiche with several types of veg to dip in hummus with an extra mini portion of chips. Friendly and quick service by the father and daughter running it. Recommended!

We walked to St Oswald's Church and dropped in here on the way back. Astonished at the interior size. Nice carrot cake, tea and coffee. Friendly staff and magazines to read.
