Compton Cafe

My experience at Compton Cafe was truly satisfying. The food was amazing in terms of flavor and portion size, providing excellent value for the price. I couldn't get enough of their homemade cakes, which were absolutely divine.

What made this dining experience exceptional was the staff's warm and accommodating attitude. They were attentive to our needs and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The overall ambiance of the cafe was pleasant, adding to the positive experience. Compton Cafe is a must-visit if you're looking for a place with delicious food, ample portions, and excellent service.

Lovely eclectic place to eat. Menu is limited but something for everyone, and there is a specials board. We had the full breakfast and the omelette, both were freshly cooked to order and tasty. The pot of tea was a real treat too!

They have jams, marmalades and other treats on sale to take away, and the staff are so friendly. Definitely a hidden gem.

Absolutely marvellously friendly cafe that is also dog friendly. The cakes are made by the owner and are completely delicious and varied! I had lemon curd cake and it was an absolute treat but without being sickly. Husband had a chip butty and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is not only friendly with the staff, the whole place is friendly! The customers all seem to join in together and make it a lovely visit! I highly recommend!

We had Breakfast this morning at The Compton Cafe and it was absolutely lovely and very reasonably priced. The lady who served us and the other customers were really friendly and gave us some tips on the local area as we are visiting from another area. We will be back again for another yummy breakfast.

Called in for a spot lunch. Kids enjoyed their full breakfast. I had a lovely jacket potato. Owner was lovely and gave the kids some sweets too! Will be back. Thanks

A window on rural life , we had an amazing experience whilst having breakfast. Indeed it was such a pleasure we ordered an extra drink so we could soak up some more atmosphere and good company.

A family of six adults (plus dog). We were able to sit together thanks to some table rearranging by the staff, who couldn't have been nicer. Freshly cooked breakfasts with everything you could want, great food, lovely setting and excellent value. Thank you.

staff, bacon cooked to perfection, large teapot for two. Loads of fish fingers in sandwich. Other customers very friendly also. GF bacon sandwich to go too. Superb.

Decided to have a day out in Ashbourne, wanted a drink found Compton Cafe. Had a really great experience, lovely atmosphere, good food. Kids loved it as well which is always a good barometer Dod friendly as well Winner!

Popped in here for lunch with our two little girls. Food was great and the ladies doted on our girls who ended up with a balloon and lollipops. Really family friendly and really lovely. We’ll be back next time in Ashbourne.
