Lime Wood Hotel

We booked lunch and arrived 30 minutes early. The doorman took us to the bar and arranged for the waitress to bring us nuts and olives followed by 2 glasses of champagne. The restaurant manager showed us to our table and introduced us to our waitress- Harriet. She was very knowledgeable on every dish on the menu - Very personable- friendly and a pleasure. As were all the staff.
The food was excellent - Red Mullet - Veal - Cheese board - wine.
I can highly recommend this restaurant. A very pleasant experience from start to finish.

Went for an overnighter and it was...superb. Every aspect of the stay was exceptional. The food is fabulous, the facilities are amazing and the service is flawless - always on hand but relaxed and never obtrusive. Can't think of when I've ever stayed in a better luxury hotel.

What a place ! Restaurant is both incredibly good (very solid wine list) and at the same time casual. Spa is the best I have done in England, up there with the ones you see in Switzerland. Lovely setting, great food. Rooms are outstanding! The attention to detail is obvious from the toiletries to the well stocked mini bar and pantry. It makes a change to stay somewhere where all the staff are well trained and go out of their way to make staying ajoy. Well done Line Wood.

Fabulous and luxurious. We only had tea and it was served with some wonderful homemade biscuits. We treated ourselves to some beautiful toiletries from the shop and will always visit when in the area.

We had a superb lunch. Service was brilliant, the menu was splendid. I recommend Limewood without hesitation. The food was perfect with thoughtful little touches to enhance our already wonderful experience

My husband and I spent a couple of nights at the hotel as a “mini-moon”. One night was a gift and we extended another night as it was so brilliant. The room was beautiful.

From the start all of the staff were so lovely and helpful. We felt at home straight away. The spa is wonderful and so relaxing. We had some massages while we were there and they were so relaxing.

We had dinner at Hartnett, Holder & Co restaurant on the first night and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend the pasta and the pork main was delicious. The room service at the hotel was also top notch

It’s a magical place .

Just returned from an overnight stay at Lime Wood and they knocked it out of the park again. We are always bowled over by the amazing hospitality and the faultless team of people who work there. The food at H&H and Raw & Cured was delicious, and the spa was so restful and indulgent. With amazing walks from the doorstep, it’s a must visit!

Well presented very tasty afternoon tea in a lovely setting. Cannot beat a real fire on a drab rainy day. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend

Went for dinner only, no stay. Food was wonderful, as expected. Pasta was the best we have had, and crab risotto was delicious. Service was friendly and personal but professional. Very enjoyable!

Lime Wood Hotel offers a luxurious yet serene environment. Such a beautiful place where you can relax in comfort and style.

Went for the afternoon tea and loved it so much. The interior was stunning which oozed grandeur. The staff were charming and very welcoming. The afternoon tea had sandwiches, desserts and scones with jam and cream. I sound the sandwiches to be ok. But the desserts were decadent. They did not only look good, but tasted equally delicious. And the scones were also perfect. We had both tea and coffe with the food and they were also decent.

Went out for a stroll around the place after the tea and spent a very relaxing afternoon.

Never stayed but eaten here several times. Always excellent and a great vibe. Even going just for some bubbles is a treat.

One of our favourites. Picturesque, incredible service. Lovely spa and gym, with a well provisioned therapy area. Food delicious. We stayed above reception in one of the best rooms, perfect! Go for a walk, run or bike ride in the forest of the to The Pig the sister hotel. Great for a 1 or 2 night stay.

Absolutely incredible! Our cottage was beautiful and fitted out to an extremely high standard. Staff are very helpful, thoughtful and attentive. The Spa is stunning. Evening food was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning and telling friends and family to take a visit. Thank you to everyone at Lime Wood for a fantastic stay!

The best restaurant, bar, hotel, and spa, in the New Forest. People travel here because it's a destination with its two famous chefs Hartnett and Holder.

For the first time visitor I recommend fish and chips or a burger in the bar. Venturing into the lunch menu in the restaurant proper is a Michelin Star experience for the price of an extra portion of chips.

I cannot recommend this venue higher. The wine card is exemplary, the staff alert and engaged, the food devine. It's not so expensive as others, due to its location amongst the rich Brits who don't like to spend, but that doesn't detract from the pure perfection of their offering. These guys are willing to try hard to please you. Highest recommendation.

Truly a 5-star hotel. Staff are so kind and helpful. Located in the middle of a wildlife area, you are less than 50 meters from nature. The area has beautiful walks and sights. Room service is great, and the rooms are super cozy. Feels luxurious and humble at the same time.

Fantastic hotel and beautiful grounds. Thank you so much for our complimentary upgrade, it really made our baby moon special. I wanted to call out Shelley who did my pregnancy massage, really enjoyed it, one of the best I’ve had.

First things first a beautiful hotel and restaurant set in stunning grounds. Staff are friendly, and attentive but most importantly not overbearing.

The restaurant has lots of food offerings for the discerning of palates and caters well also for children.

A lot was riding on this meal as Angela is one of my favourite chefs.

We start with a cocktail to which their is a number of good choices.

For starters, I opted for buttered New Forest asparagus, and black garlic mayonnaise. I loved that the asparagus was left to speak for it's self, in season and beautiful fresh. The Black garlic mayonnaise was a lovely addition without being overbearing.

The other half opted for line caught Cornish mackerel, almond cream, cucumber, grapefruit, dill. He said the fish was delicious, perfectly cooked and the additional tartness of the grapefruit was a great addition.

For mains we both opt for Glenarm Estate sirloin of beef with traditional carrots and potatoes. The beef was succulent and delicious, my only complaint was one slice of beef seemed father slim pickings.

We finished with drunken prunes and tiramisu.

All around a wonderful meal and one that when in the New Forest I will happily return too.

We had a celebration afternoon teanwith friends.
All the team were, as they always are, so friendly and helpful. Food was beautiful and location wonderful.
It is always my relaxing, special place to go to.
