St Chad's Nature Reserve

A lovely little nature reserve opposite St Chad's church, between Sawley and Draycott.
The reserve has a small free car park with space for around 20 cars. It also has seats at intervals around the lake, set just away from the paths.

What a beautiful lake, a true hidden gem! shame there was sign for no swimming as it is concerning that our Thames Water is not polluting the river Thames and now have extended their operation, by dumping untreated raw sewage to our lakes!

Such a lovely little walk with lots of nature and beautiful scenery. Not a long walk but perfect for people with kids and its pram friendly with lots of benches so you can stop and take in the view. Always clean and tidy and the car park usually has plenty of spaces too.

I been looking a nice little place to have a walk clear my head away from day to day life and this place is perfect no need to dedicate a day yo a 10 mile hike but just a nice clean walk around a pond. Very much enjoyed this place.

Nice little picnic spot and a good place to feed the ducks. The path around the nature reserve is very well maintained from what I saw with some of it being elevated concrete pathways so ideal for wheelchair users. The only negative was the height limit barrier with no marked height however it's about 2m high which was no problem for my 4x4

Smashing local nature reserve which is ideal for dog walks in sunny weather. Plenty of trees to give shade to keep your furry friend cool.

What a great spot. Took some clients for there Pre-wedding photo shoot here. Lovely little walk with the sun just in the right place during the golden hour.
Found a good bit in the field next to the water as well.

Beautiful little lakeside walk, level pathway all the way round the lake, recent weather has meant the path is a little uneven in places at present, worth noting for wheelchair users.

Love walking around Chad's Nature Reserve. Met some other lovely dog owners. The lake is just beautiful and the swan turning full circle for me was amazing xx

I love this place. It gets such good sunsets. So quiet and peaceful. Great little nature reserve.

This is a great place for a short walk, very flat and a good surface under foot all the way round. Very popular with anglers, lots of wildlife.

Always stunning . Never had any issues here take photos here all the time.
