Canal Cottages - Derby Canal

We Visited the Canal Cottages Cafe today, the sun was shining so we sat outside. Our hot chocolates scone and sausage cob were delicious and delivered to our table. It was lovely to see well behaved dogs enjoying thier treats after a walk along the beautiful canal. I think a full English needs to be planned.

Called in while out for a stroll with my wife.....who had previously visited the cafe.
I had the small breakfast(which wasn't small).....it was piping hot and had the best poached egg I've ever had.
My wife had the cheese/chutney paninis,which was lovely too,we then shared a cheesecake between us.
The cafe is spotless and the staff are very friendly.
Would definitely recommend a visit and will be calling back there ourselves in the near future.

Staff are great! Was completely full! But they got us in somehow, breakfast was delish!!!

All i can say was wow 👌 an absolutely wonderful place, a hidden gem situated just behind the small village of Draycott." It was absolutely lovely clean spotless service fantastic, we only stopped off for coffee as we walked our dog i had a sneaky look at the menu which looked lovely from breakfasts to sandwiches and cakes which were all homemade , an
added bonus, you could take your furbaby in while you added a bite to eat, and they even get a free treat . I would definitely give it a try and support local businesses. Well done, guys 5 🌟 well-deserved 👏 👍🏾 🙌

Found this newly opened little gem by accident. Good tables outside in a nice area. Only had a drink on this occasion but the menu is good and the cakes look like they are to die for. This may be the first of our visits but definitely not the last

Great coffee, lovely cakes, fab food. Always busy, so that's a good sign we think.

Tasty offerings on the menu. It's in interesting, and beautifully clean surroundings. Friendly helpful staff too. Highly recommend.👍☕

This was a lovely visit, my first time here. Certainly not my last. A friendly place, good dogs are allowed 😊🐕

First time visit . Rainy and miserable but the place inside was thronging. We had breakfast, well presented and delicious. Will be back.

Love this place, good food and great service. Always have an enjoyable visit here. Toastedtea cakes were lovely this morning.

What a lovely space. The space is beautiful. Right on the edge of a lovely walk near to the canal. Three beautiful cottages have been rebuilt on the land next to the cafe. Horses walk along the path and happy dog walkers come and go giving the canal side a really jolly feel. Please go to this place it is just perfect!

Just called in for lunch ( Saturday) Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to park, weather v warm so sat outside. Table service- civilised. We had cheese scones, a flat white and a mocha. All good and promptly served. The staff were very helpful in showing us the small museum room which, albeit small, was nevertheless an interesting feature
Closed Tuesday.

Superb cafe on a disused canal path. Great for dog walkers. Staff friendly and attentive. Worth a visit.

Visited for the first time as part of a group of 8 cyclists. Nice to find both bike stands and low fencing to leave our bikes against.

Nice modern cafe, lovely and warm, just what was needed on a cold day.

Although fairly busy we were served relatively quickly. Coffee and bacon roll very nice 😁. Definitely revisit it sometime soon.

Great little cafe. Came across it while looking for somewhere different to get a full english breakfast. Tasty food, friendly staff, and lovely surroundings. What more could you ask for. Will definitely be back.
