What a lovely place this is, we came for the weekend and we had such a lovely time.
The lodge was really nice and the little touches we received when we arrived were really good. The dog had a goodie bag, a dog toy, and we had toiletries and kitchen stuff left for us to use.
All the rooms were modern and spacious, all bedrooms had an ensuite, dressing rooms with well lit rooms.
The hot tub was great and a nice temperature. The maintenace staff for the hot tub were really friendly, and you hardly noticed them checking the chlorine levels, etc.
We went for lots of walks, we called into the pub and shop on site and all the staff were friendly and really helpful.
The dog field was really good as we could let our dog off the lead and give her a good run.
The weather was also a bonus and it was really sunny and warm.
We will definitely return as we had a weekend, just what we needed.
Good location, lots of walks nearby, and lots of lovely views.
There are lots of shops, a 15-minute drive to the nearest towns / villages, should you require anything that isn't in the shop on site.

A fabulous weekend away here. The lodges are modern and comfortable, with every amenity available. The on-site bar and restaurant is a welcome oasis, the food is excellent.

Stayed in Bakewell 51. The whole resort is in a beautifully setting, everything is well thought out. Didn’t manage to use the facilities due to enjoying the lodge too much, popped for a little look around and it’s looks to be like everything else - finished to a very high standard. Being in the lodge was so peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely be booking another trip.

Came here as a family of 3 with my 3 year old. The lodge was immaculate couldn’t fault it. Service was great. It’s very peaceful and probably aimed more for just couples, as you have to go out to the
Villages as there’s not much to do with a toddler on site. We booked into the restaurant it was ok, not worth the money really. We would definitely be back as a
Couple Thankyou!

Fantastic couple of days spent at Rivendale Lodge. The rooms are modern and clean with 2 bathrooms 1 with en suite.
The facilities are top notch especially for families with pets.
The staff can't do enough for you at reception and are genuinely nice people. Caroline made us feel very welcome and advised us of some good places to visit locally. She definitely makes the place seem professional and organised. 💚
I would love to come again in the summer to experience the countryside.

I stayed here about three weeks ago and it's a lovely place to stay. The Lodges are nice and clean and separated well enough that you're not really overlooked. They have a reception that leads through to a bar and restaurant. They have nearby villages such as Matlock, Buxton, and Ashbourne, and there are plenty of good walks for Hikers. I found the staff very friendly too.

Lovely site with what looks like brand new lodges. Need a car and signage is actually on the turning so be careful coming down the hill in the evening. The restaurant food was great. The lodge was very clean and modern. I want to return.Have returned and still as good. But watch your head on the extractor fan in kitchen I keep banging my head.

Went for a week with our son and daughter in law. The lodge was fantastic, very modern and had everything you could need. It was very clean and all the staff were very friendly. The park is all very new and very well laid out there are bins about every fifty yards and they are all equipped with poo bags for dog owners. Although one or two owners didn't bother picking their dogs mess. Shameful ! The bar and restaurant was excellent and I would recommend giving it a try you won't be disappointed.

A lovely place to stay in a great location. We stayed in an 8 person lodge with a hot tub, there were only 5 adults in the end which was probably not a bad thing as the twin rooms were quite tight. The hot tub was lovely as was the lodge with everything we needed kitchen wise. Just to be aware for anyone coming dishwasher tablets, bin bags and cloths etc. aren't provided which wasn't an issue for us but could easily be forgotten by people staying.
We came for a drink in the bar but didn't eat on site, we went for a walk to Biggin to the Waterloo Inn which was great for food during one day and it was a lovely, an easy walk down the Tissington Trail.
It was a lovely place to stay and we would 100% recommended.

My only slight (not enough to put us off) negative would be the parking was quite difficult to work out the numbers and the visitor spaces, someone in our party parked in another lodges spaces by mistake and we got quite a snotty call from reception which wasn't needed as we had were able to quickly move it. Clearer signs over the spaces would make this less of an issue.
There is also free electric parking which is great!

Absolutely gorgeous. We booked a hot tub lodge and I could’ve stayed here forever. We had the most gorgeous view from our patio area and could sit here all day watching it from our hot tub. The kitchen we had was amazing, brand new oven, hob, microwave and everything else. Beautiful lodge with amazing quality appliances. Lovely food menu and takeaway menu. The value for money was out of this world. So modern and rustic style, absolutely love it here, I will be booking again for sure.

Had a great stay at Rivendale Lodge Retreat. I stayed in a Bakewell Lodge & it had everything you needed, even a washer/dryer and Dishwasher which was nice!

The bar and Bistro is nicely set out but I only really had a cocktail once and a Costa. The Menu looked nice but I cooked for myself the whole week.

It's set out in like a cliff side / quarry face.
There's a Bike wash and a Doggy Shower too.

The reception staff were all super friendly and I had a lovely chat with Jocelyn on reception one day.

The only thing I'd say could do with improving is the welcome box wasn't that full (not a big issue as bought my own) and there was no dishwasher tablets provided (maybe this is for you to buy your own which I did in the end but bit of a waste buying a whole bag when I don't have one at home).

Great "holiday cabins" clean tidy and modern lodges and site generally. BUT be warned you could have a 6 bed lodge with 6 people for a week and the site will only supply x2 rolls of toilet paper....so go prepared.

We stayed here in May 2023 and had a lovely time. There's been a serious amount of money spent on these buildings and grounds which is of a really high quality and been done very sympathetically and is reflected by the pricing for the accommodation. Had a very friendly experience with checking in online, I suppose the only gripes would be the standard of the kitchen equipment it's very basic and you need to remember to bring everything even things like dishwasher tablets and fairly liquid etc. The mattresses whilst is a personal preference are way to soft for us and I'd think most people. All in all though it was a really lovely stay and will come again without a doubt of we're in the area. We really loved the environment and nature around the building.

Really nice place to stay. We stayed in a large lodge, this thing was massive with all the modern conveniences. All parking spaces were numbered. The staff were friendly. The lodge also had a well maintained hottube. The surroundings were beautiful.
