Very friendly staff who do not intrude on your visit but are helpful when approached. Lovely old buildings and interesting rooms, videos to watch re history, free live talks also in the church re the gunpowder plot today. Lake to walk round and pretty gardens, you can picnic, there's also a cafe bookshop and NT shop. Excellent visit.

Great place for a walk around the grounds and also to enjoy the wonderful walled garden (which was a mass of flowers on my visit). Currently the house is slightly restricted due to roof repairs but this is compensated for by them allowing you to see things you wouldn't usually see -- especially the chandeliers which are down on frames at eye level. The other current bonus is to be able to climb the scaffolding steps to view not just the building from above but also watch the workers fixing the roof. The staff in the house and grounds were all very helpful and knowledgeable. My only gripe would be the restaurant which had run out of baked potatoes and the special and gave very small portions at large prices ... however, the seating areas are very pleasant and there were plenty of free tables.

Work on the roof restricted access to some of the property. This didn't spoil the experience. The staff/volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was lovely seeing the chandeliers at eye level whilst they were at ground level for cleaning.
The grounds were a little waterlogged but again it didn't spoil the experience as there was plenty of places to walk and things to see.

Weather was just about ok. Fantastic walk round the woodland and river. Such a beautiful sight with all the wild garlic and bluebells and Spring flowers and shrubs. Just so beautiful.

Welcome to Coughton Court
Lovely day, weather was kind to us.
Haven't been for a while so it's good to be back.
Busy, yet still peaceful walking round the lake and beautiful gardens.
Interesting talk about Guy Fawkes and the gun powder plot by a very knowledgeable guide held in the Catholic Church.
Lunch was OK and staff were pleasant enough.
Good shop and some nice plants for sale, but I managed to resist the temptation as I'm still trying to find somewhere for the plants I bought last year!

17th May 2024.
Lovely day but quite quiet.
Enjoyed walking around the lake and especially the bog garden and walled garden, very well maintained.
Fantastic wisteria in bloom and lots to look forward to in the garden.
Pleasant enough lunch.
Shop was interesting but very much the same as any other National Trust property Shop.
Some nice plants for sale but not a great variety.
Always a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Great place with amazing gardens you could spend hours walking in. The house, which the family still live in, is undergoing some works and you can explore some of it. It has a very interesting history regarding the gunpowder plot and the volunteers were friendly and chatty, happy to answer any questions. A nice day out especially if you are a member of the National Trust

It was wet and windy, and the roof was undergoing a revamp but was still a lovely visit, and the food at the cafe was wonderful. Definitely going back once the works are completed and the scaffolding is down. Beautiful place.

Beautiful property and gardens with extended grounds and riverside walk. Amazing history to both the property and family, very knowledgeable volunteers on hand to pass on their wisdom. Very interesting connection to the gunpowder plot. Two churches to visit as well. Very nice cafe /restaurant area also small coffee and ice cream parlor. Would definitely recommend.

The property is being renovated at the moment so do bear that in mind. The river walk was very pleasant, and the gardens are nice because they have lots of different ideas, each with it's own feel. We couldn't explore a lot of the house, but it does have an interesting layout.

A perfectly lovely house to wander around and we'll be going back when it's fully restored.

Lovely house, beautiful gardens, nice cafe. Small play area for children but also lots of open space. Interesting tie in with Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot. Riverside walk, two churches. Nice place to spend a few hours.

Beautiful gardens and surrounding woods and walks. The house is fascinating, as is the church, but it is the gardens that are outstanding and well worth the visit. There is a cafe, complete with outside seating area and toilet facilities. All in all, a wonderful day out.

This is a superb NT property. The house is still used by the same family, and photos dotted around the house make the venue feel more homely. Part of the residence is closed to the public, understandably for privacy purposes, but the rooms on view are attractive. The staff are friendly and welcoming with plenty of knowledge about the property. We've been NT members for years, so I am unsure of the entry fee. There are 2 churches to look around, café, shop, etc. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, and we spent a glorious hour or 2 just meandering around. It was a great place to visit.

Such a beautiful place, alot of space to park too. As members we could visit for free, which is great! The grounds were amazing, beautiful flower gardens and orchards. They do supply small bags with fidget toys and headphones for anyone with Autism (Our daughter is autistic) to keep them busy whilst visiting. All round lovely day out. Shall be coming back soon!

Follow the brown direction signs and you won't get lost. Good quality parking.
Back to where you drove in and let your tour begin. This is not a stately home and there are no spectacular pieces. It is a large private residence with a story and interesting curiosities. Enjoy the family portraits.
In the dining room look for the long single plank refectory table. Subjectively it's the most interesting piece in the whole house but well hidden. As always the volunteers are exceedingly knowledgeable.
Save time for a leisurely walk around the very well kept grounds and visit Tim's Wood.
The cafe has the usual fayre but beware of the nearly 1000 calories croques.

Lovely scenic gardens and lakes, plenty of walks through woods, parkland. Courtyard where you can have drinks and eat, plus plenty of areas for picnics. Very accessible, husband had wheelchair and we could access lots. In manor house , hr could only look around ground floor, but they offered him a tablet where it showed him all around the house and all about thr history of it. Well deserves a visit.

Wow! What a tremendous amount of history here. Well worth a visit. Lots of art, and antiques on show, lovely gardens. House currently undergoing roof repairs. Satnav warning, mine wanted to use the exit(coach entrance), the house can be seen from the road and the entrance easy to pass.
