Rumwong Thai Restaurant

This place always delivers ! The food is very tasty and always tastes fresh. As opposed to other similar cuisine restaurants, I never leave this place feeling bloated or unwell, the food is filling but light. Quite pricey but worth it. Staff attentive and very lovely. Make sure to book in advance for a Saturday evening at least.

I was in the area for the day and this place caught my eye. Not only because of the high rating but also because they offer my favourite Thai dish which is hard to find - Rad Na. Within 15 minutes of ordering the food was ready to collect.
I ordered Tom Yum soup and chicken Rad Na. The soup was alright but it was the Rad Na which was really nice. When I've had this in the past, it has been served with thick rice noodles (which I would have preferred) but the choice here was thin crispy noodles or vermicelli. I opted for the latter. The gravy was delicious, chicken and other ingredients were cooked well. Next time I am in the area I will order the same.

I have been going go RumWong since 2004, when I was a student. I live about 10 miles away, so not so far to visit (worth the drive). This place is still my number one Thai Place. The food is still authentic, fresh and flavoursome. A classic Pud Thai is always my fave and Dim Sum. Cocktails are FAB btw. It has come a long way since it's small, like Thai restaurant shack to a beautifully adorned Thai setting with silk/gold drapes as decor. Top tip..try their desserts.. (Coco Mango was beaut) they have gone up a level, which is a nice bonus!

Traditional Thai service with an exotic Thai cuisine, a palithora of Thai dishes non-spicy, mild, and very spicy. A treat to behold.

A fantastic gem of a Thai restaurant located conveniently within Guildford. Extraordinarily fresh, great flavours, friendly service and reasonable price.

Well worth the value I would say; I mean is it pretty expensive, yes a little but definitely would be worth for the fine dine in and the ambience they provide. So it's all great to take the best ones in here, maybe a date or for a casual meet!
Always love the green curry from Thai cuisine wherever I go, well is more delicious in here and also they could make more spicy if you would like to have the most hot curry! Yeah I do 🤩🤩🤩!
Just try as many as possible, just because all the dishes are extremely delicious and differ from each one! Just loved the atmosphere and the hospitality of the people, well you would see the best service from this restaurant. 🤩🤗

Wonderful food, atmosphere and incredible staff made this dining a truly enjoyable experience. I found the Thai food here exceptionally fresh and light. So much more enjoyable than the heavy oily dishes often found. Looking forward to my next overnight here. I'll definitely get a table early before they are all gone.

Thai food here is incredible! It’s a real Thai taste, most Thai than any restaurant in this town.
Kow moo dang is sweet and juicy they did the pork super good, perfectly with dipping sauce! ❤
Lunch set is also impressive, it also contain Thai street food too.
Suki yaki is so delicious and warm, I love it.
The atmosphere is luxury, and friendly staff by the way.
The price is reasonable, quite cheap compare to the quality, I could say.

Easy 5 stars. Got taken by some friends here who were born in Thailand. Amazing food. Every dish was delicious but the duck was my favourite.

It's 30 years since we last frequented this restaurant and it remains an excellent experience. The same family runs it and the dedication shows. Highly recommended.

Celebrated my friend's birthday today for lunch. I couldn't have wished for more, as the food was absolutely superb, the staff so friendly and they have managed to maintain that special Thai atmosphere even though adhering to all COVID measures. Having lived in Thailand I rate Rumwong at the top of my list.

Best dinner i had in a very long time.
Starters were crazily good, I recommend the pork ribs and shrimp dumplings. Special mention for the battered cod, it was tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside, sauces too were amazing. I also had tofu and it was Amazing too, crispy and well seasoned.
I truly loved it. Staff was very professional, and took amazing care of us. Hope to be back in Guildford soon to grab dinner there again!

Very nice restaurant. You need to gobble your food down as quick as you can though because you only have 2 hours there, which half the time goes to them preparing your food

Great food lovely staff, easy going and the lychee cooler is a must great for younger ones as well definitely a must.

Probably the best Thai restaurant in Surrey. Our meals were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection and served fairly quickly. We ordered a shared starter plate for the 3 of us, which was perfect. I ordered my usual which is a Thai Green Chicken Curry. Yummy. Can't wait to return .
