Jim rescued me when a puncture just before starting on the Down’s Link showed that my tyre was badly cracked. He was super friendly and helpful. And sorted out a brilliant and speedy repair that got us in our way again.

Replaced nearly everything on the rear half, full clean, greasing of appropriate parts and modifications to suit existing parts on the bike!

Took my Fox 38’s to Jim as they felt awful even though they are nearly new. He recognised the issue immediately and explained to me what was going on. Turned them around really quickly and walked my through settings he applied but what I should try.
Took the bike out and it was night and day, could actually make line choices rather than being bounced around the trail. Wheel tracked the terrain and could feel the tyre gripping. Finally I had confidence to push the bike harder and enjoy riding.
Top work, highly recommended.

I bring my bike to Jim for some hydraulic brake maintenance. Due to the internal cabling, it wasn't an easy job, but he was really quick and it's good value for the money. I'm really satisfied with the whole service and if I have to do anything on the bike I'll definitely choose him again. I highly recommend him.

Jim is the rare example of a mechanic who can not only service mountain bike suspension correctly but can also ride downhill at a high level. So he knows how to set up your bike just right - as he did mine the week before the ArdRock Enduro - I rode it with barely a test beforehand and it was perfect.

In the years he has worked on my bikes he has also given pragmatic advice on what components to spend on and where to save my money.

I can't recommend him highly enough.

The best bike mechanic I’ve been too! An absolute ninja in setting up suspension and at a decent price too!
Work on the bike was done quickly and he went out of his way to explain how it should be set up!
Won’t go anywhere else now for bike servicing as he’s by far the best in the area!
The bike now rides like so much better. I would even recommend taking a new bike there from the shop to have the suspension set up!

Jim gave my slightly elderly bike the most amazing service and now it absolutely does feel like a new bike again!
He covered everything that needed doing, changing cables, tightening things up, making the gears finally work smoothly again, the breaks now actually work, rather than trying to throw me over the handlebars, everything down to the finest detail.

Jim has always done a fantastic job with looking after my bike. I’ve taken my YT Decoy to Jim for wheel rebuilds, fork and shock services, full services and recently he recommended the Vorsprung Luftkappe for my Fox 36 Elites. Wow! After breaking my hand I was having real issues with long downhills and hand cramps. Jim’s recommendation and expert fitting meant next day I rode BPW non stop for nearly 4hrs, 38 miles and got some PBs!! Thank you Jim!

Plenty of friends have used Jim's Bike's for years and I've only heard great recommendations from them. I needed my Rockshox Forks and Shock serviced for the first time (should have done it a while ago). Jim not only did this at a great price, but shared his fantastic knowledge and advice on the setup and how to tune. I can't claim to have more than a basic knowledge of suspension, but following his advice I was able to do the basics quickly on my next ride (BPW) and get the bike feeling better than it has for ages. Will gladly take my bike to Jim's again

My bike has never been better in everyway (including from new) since Jim serviced it (forks, shock, dropper, bearings etc). I'd heard Jim was the man to go to, and from start to finish everything was perfect. The booking was set up quickly, great comms throughout, and Jim explained everything he'd done and checked and adjusted the set up with me on collection. I pretty much said "could you just make it better please" and now its like a whole new bike! Riding is much more fun again and no one else will be touching my bike from now on. Thank you Jim!

Jim is the only person I'd want to fix the family bikes. He is responsive, helpful and very knowledgable whilst being approachable and passionate about what he does. I used Jim's help this week with my bike and the service was fast, helpful and friendly. I just needed a quick check on my wheels and he did it straight away for me. Took only 5 min and even better - he didn't charge me a single penny for it! Highly recommend Jim for any of your bike troubles.

Best decision to go to Jim. Left my sad for itself Colnago with him only to get back what looks and feels like a brand new bike. Lots of great advice on parts, clearly has amazing knowledge and wealth of experience, and went the extra mile sourcing things when availability is so poor at the moment. Will definitely be back.
