Great place for authentic Portuguese food. Rustic place, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Serves dishes of the day. Certainly a very affordable place to have lunch.

Traditional, no-thrills, honest homemade Portuguese food. If you want to try the real thing without getting on a plane for a few hours, this is the place to go. Prices are also very reasonable

A real treat - a little bit of the Algarve in the centre of Somerset. An authentic taste of Portugal. The ambiance feels like a small street cafe in Faro. All food is simply lush and pricing perfect. Best coffee in Taunton in my view. If you love Portugal then you must visit.

Love this cafe. Having lived in Portugal some years ago this really reminds me of the simple back street cafes you find round every corner over there. Unpretentious basic interior but it's all about the excellent value dish of the day, around £6. Simple but tasty home cooked meal. To sit there and listen to the local Portuguese speaking, and the TV tuned to Portuguese news channel is to feel like you are any where in that lovely country 👍

I always enjoy coming here. Always a good welcome, good selection of drinks, cakes, lunch and Portuguese produce. A little part of Portugal in the centre of Taunton, welcoming all. Very reasonable prices. I recommend giving it a try.

This little eatery in Taunton is the simple things done really well! Open throughout the day, but not the evening, I cannot think if a more enjoyable, inexpensive, authentic lunchtime venue anywhere. I had an early "light" lunch on my birthday & wasn't driving, so relaxed and enjoyed myself on a really hot summer's day, eating outside. I started with a small glass of a traditional Portuguese aperitif, which set the scene. The dish of the day was braised pork ribs, which came with vegetables, rice and good chips in a delicious sauce. Great value @ £5.99.There is a wider menu too if you want, but the dish of the day is such good value. I also had a large glass of extremely drinkable Portuguese red, Portuguese rice pudding, and ended with a small glass of Aguardente, a white brandy similar to Grappa or Marc. All for £13 including the food.

Beautiful café with excellent food and very cheap prices. The owner is lovely and is very chatty, making you feel very welcome. My favourite café in Taunton!

Tipical Portuguese coffe shop, very friendly. Try their pasties de nata and if you are planing to visit Portugal you should go there to try their food and have a feeling for Portuguese culture and food.

This is a Portuguese GEM to have discovered on my 1st visit to Taunton. Ptgs beer (Sagres), home cooked food, genuine Ptgs dessert (pasteis de nata!), even imported Ptgs juice bottles! Friendly service, authentic relaxed environment, Ptgs TV (lol). DO stop in for a slice of Portugal in Somerset! :D

Great coffee and food, the staff are so helpful, some outside seating too, great for watching the world (Ok... taunton!) Go by, defo worth a visit!
