This is a great book shop, When I was told the wife had dementia, I went there to see what books they had on the condition and what I needed to do as a carer. I came away with two very good books that have been more help than both the Alzheimer's society and Dementia people who I have has contact with, so I can recommended Waterstones not only for reference books but for a good read when it comes to fiction

As always a lovely experience to just browse, with some fantastic recommendations from both signs and staff (who consistently show how passionate and knowledgeable they are).

Staff was very good we got 2 hairy biker cook book steve sue and play fair cricket book 2024 aswell

All the assistants were absolutely amazing, so knowledgeable about all the books. Actually phoned someone else to get the best recommendation for a bit of light reading about the history of Germany. Laughed more than I have done in any other bookshop to date.
Definitely go back to this branch to buy books, would travel to Taunton for these people - 45 minute drive - just because their customer service was that good.

Great shop massive mix of books for everyone!

Perfect when you walk into a shop, employee asks what you're looking for, when you can't remember the author and he says oh yes, over here it's by....

Lovely selection of books and it has the charismatic smell of books as you enter. Plenty of seating scattered around to rest or simply read a prologue. The children's area is always nice for little ones to explore. A great use of a lovely old building and how the business use the pillars as additional display areas. I particularly love the recommended/suggested reading in different areas. The people who work there are always willing to help. The tills can get rather busy at peak times of the year. It is a great place to take a moment to find your next written escape.

Popped in to look for a book as a gift and found so much more! Really wanted to spend longer looking around: so good to SEE the range of books available, I'd almost forgotten what it's like; shop well laid out, felt like a different world I could escape into. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Plus games and interesting gifts. Loved it!

The few times I have been in this store has been so lovely! Staff are epic. I literally stepped in today (so special mention to ADAM), I asked him to pick me a book intuitively!! With close to zero information he nailed it in 2 minutes!! Amazing human and so lovely! Makes paying retail worth it

Wonderful welcoming children's section, nice to see displays of fiction and non fiction. Shop assistant able to recommend books which is a nice touch. Can tell that the people who work here love reading

No visit to a sizeable town is not complete with out a pilgrimage to Waterstones ! One of the largest we've been in for a while. Amazing selection of books in a wonderful setting.

Came into store too see if I could get a book which my sister wanted for her birthday. Staff managed to look it up and got her a copy of the book. Excellent customer service.

I was looking for an obscure title and they had one copy in stock. Based on that book they recommended two more titles by authors I did not know. Interesting friendly conversation. My go to bookstore.

Despite entering the shop just a few minutes before closing, the 2 girls helped with a voucher purchase and finding me a book I couldn't find myself. They also served 2 more customers whilst the book I wanted was found. Superb service and with a smile.

As usual I went with my family as one wanted books and I end up buying 2 for myself. I don't go very often as I'd spend every penny I have on books, the choices is amazing. The little extras they sell are wonderful too. They had this little sloth book mark, the head was fabric, a string body and fluffy tail (admittedly, I thought it looked more like a book worm but it was just so cute), I was sorely tempted but had to curve my spending. The staff were great which always makes the experience a pleasure.
