Good overall selection of new books, with a large, well-organised 2nd hand section. They make an excellent contribution to the local community of writers and readers by hosting and supporting events.
I found this rare copy of a Brian Aldiss book on their SF shelf.
Worth walking down Bath Place to support this shop.

Great second hand bookshop tucked away in the heart of Taunton. Plenty of choice and very reasonable prices. Great place to disappear into for an hour if you're a book lover.

A great book shop. I have been buying books from here for many years. I mainly buy used books and every visit I usually find something interesting. Very good value. The history section is fantastic.

It’s just sad that there aren’t more real book shops like this one. The assistant was friendly and helpful and the shop was two floors of books. Real books. My only regret was that I couldn’t spend more time browsing as I dread to think what gems I missed because of a lack of time. If you’re in Taunton and you like books then you’re in luck. I envy the locals. Great shop…..highly recommended.

One of my favourite book stores.. I support the independent traders rather than Waterstones.
This is a quaint old style book store.. A bit like Black Books TV show, it's set in a gorgeous courtyard ideal to just sit and read.
Love a good rummage to discover something new.

Amazing local bookshop - always welcoming atmosphere - very helpful relaxed staff. Great selection of second hand books & literally any book you want they can order for you, usually with a discount - and usually it gets there the next day - making it cheaper & more sustainable option than Amazon.

This is my favourite book shop. Always good service and some real finds amongst lots of books, old and new. Has the brilliant smell of a book shop and a really nice atmosphere for browsing.

Excellent bookshop,can get most new and backlist titles quickly. Very helpful staff. The shop is in the lovely Bath Place.

Came here for 3 literary festival events. Such a lovely shop with friendly staff. Great they support local authors too. A real gem.

Helpful and friendly as ever - and although the greetings card range is relatively small, it's nicely select, can always find a pleasing blank-inside card, which is what I came in for on this visit

Best bookshop in town- they'll help you find what you need, and even source stuff from other shops if they can't find what you need in time. Very competitive prices
