Hidden Gem! Eleanor was truly a great hostess and extremely helpful with her local knowledge of Inverness and surrounds. Room and bathroom was immaculate and breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of local produce. Home made scones and jam with cream were delicious. Eleanor goes above and beyond to make ones stay pleasurable. Great location in the Center of town. Highly recommend anyone to stay here.

A delight to stay at Castle View Guesthouse. As the name implies, every room has a view of the Inverness Castle just across the river. It is a terrific location. Eleanor, our host, is ebullient, extremely helpful and kind. Wonderful breakfasts and unexpected treats like her homemade scones and jams. Another treat and must try is Eleanor's spectacular poached orange salmon; a tasty way to start to your mornings. We heartily recommend the Ness Island Circular walk, literally right out the front door. This is a gorgeous tree lined walk through the Ness River Islands. Five stars is not enough for Castle View Guest House!

Love, love, loved the Castle View Guest House. It was the highlight of my two week trip to Scotland! Eleanor and her dog Mia are an absolute delight. They make your stay magical. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, the breakfast spread is amazing and Eleanor goes above and beyond to meet any of her guests needs. The guesthouse is in the best location with easy walking access to all the highlights of Inverness. I truly do hope to return some day to enjoy Castle View Guest house and Inverness.

Absolutely one of the best places we've ever stayed. It's all because of the host, Eleanor. She is knowledgeable, warm, inviting and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. She prepared a small snack and tea / coffee for us on our arrival while making sure we were parked correctly and even loaned us her parking pass. I would expect to pay $300 per night, but she keeps her prices reasonable. The location has great view and is in the heart of things. I don't think you can find a better place to stay in Inverness.

B & B, this has been the best experience of our entire trip through the UK and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.
Eleanor was absolutely amazing with giving us recommendations for food, entertainment and transportation. I wish I could give 10/5 stars for the whole experience, the location is amazing for walking to the city but we also did a tour through skye and the station was nearby, this was also very convenient.
The breakfast that’s included in the morning was phenomenal, the rooms were so cozy and comfortable and Eleanor helps you feel right at home.
It hard to obtain a 5 star review from google but after seeing the amazing reviews we had to try it out! It definitely lives up to the hype.
She never once mentioned or asked us to leave a review, she is just that good! If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.
If we ever come back, we will stay here!

Me and my husband spent one night in October 2023 and we had a very good time. Eleanor is very friendly and gave us a lot of good tips of where to go. The location is perfect and the breakfast was the best part of our stay. The salmon was very tasty and the fresh baked scones are out of this world. We even had to ask for the scones recipe and Eleanor kindly shared it with us! I highly recommend this lovely place!

By far....the most....adorable experience thus far. Eleanor was the best host ever. She really went out of her way to make you feel special. The place was clean and tidy and the classic Scottish Brekky in the morning was the icing on the cake. A must stay...because we will again.

Incredibly friendly, comfortable, and in a great location. Eleanor did her best to arrange tables at the best local restaurants for everyone, gave some excellent recommendations, and made a spectacular breakfast. Plus, her dog Mia is sweet!

I cannot speak highly enough of Castle View. The rooms are absolutely lovely cozy, comfortable, impeccably clean. The owner is so kind and sweet and genuinely takes care of each guest. My family and I had a very early morning planned and she made a full breakfast (which was delicious) with snacks and drinks for us to take with. The food was fantastic, the location can’t be beat and the hospitality was the absolute best. When we arrived she had dinner recommendations and made reservations for us. 5/5 ⭐ over and over.

We spent two nights at the Castle View Guest House. Wonderful location along the River Ness. Room had everything we needed and Eleanor was a wonderful host. Always friendly and providing information on things to see and local dining. Her breakfast was delightful with a variety of tasty options - my favorite being the fresh baked scones with clotted cream. Best experience in our trip to Scotland. I highly recommend.

Ellen is the perfect host. She welcomed us and instantly made us feel at home. She provided suggestions on where to best dine and updates about activities for us to consider given our short time in Inverness. Our morning breakfast was perfect with a traditional Scottish breakfast for myself and a poached egg with salmon for my wife. Of particular interest was the variety of juices, fresh fruit, homemade breads, and jams which Ellen created herself. Fresh local flowers were a beautiful touch around the B&B and gave an aroma which we can still smell today. Thank you, Ellen!

I cannot add much to the glowing reviews of this lovely guesthouse except to say, they are spot on! Perfect location for exploring Inverness and/or making an easy getaway to explore outside of the city. Very comfortable accommodations: we had two rooms, the family room on the top floor and a double. (This is a townhouse. There are stairs.) Such yummy breakfasts: home-baked scones, pancakes made with fresh blueberries, as well as all the usual Scottish breakfast delights. But the piece de resistance is Eleanor. She is such a lovely host and honestly cares that you have a special stay in Inverness. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. Next time …

Eleanor is a gracious host and her dog Mia is the best greeter! Eleanor went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. When some of our plans fell through, she had great suggestions for other things to do. The breakfast here is as wonderful as the service. Definitely would stay again and will be recommending to any friend or family coming to Scotland!

Staying with Eleanor is like staying with your favourite aunt. She couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive, carried our cases upstairs to our rooms. The room was comfortable, well appointed and spotless. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, fresh home baked scones, lovely breads and the best full Scottish breakfast. Eleanor’s very well behaved little dog, enchanted my friend. Highly recommended.

What a charming host Eleanor was. Her attention to detail on everything is like something I've never seen and appreciated so much. Her B&B is beautiful and well appointed. The location is perfect. And we loved meeting Mia her dog, what a sweetie. Would stay here again.

Our experience at Castle View was excellent! Our room was gorgeous with a river and castle view. The service from our host and her sweet dog Mia was superb. She attended to our every need, gave recommendations for dinner, directions for various places and she was so kind! The breakfasts served were the best we’ve ever had, including fish, amazing eggs, porridge, and fresh baked goods! We loved it!

We stayed at Eleanor's Guest House for 2 nights. Hands down, best B&B we have ever experienced. The room and views are spectacular! The breakfast was superb!
