The Barns Hotel

First time staying at the Barns which was for a business trip. Lovely hotel with spacious and clean rooms.
The restaurant was lovely. Only let down was very little vegetarian options and breakfast was quite greasy and felt like it had been heated in the microwave rather than fresh.

We had our wedding reception here in December. What can I say? All of the staff were fabulous, especially Bruce and John, but literally the whole team couldn't do enough for us. The venue is lovely and the food was great. I'm so glad that we chose to have our special celebration at The Barns. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anybody. Thank you so much folks. X

We recently had our wedding at the Barns. We had guests from all corners of the UK. From the Orkney islands to Plymouth to Wales and Norfolk. We brought them all together to celebrate our wedding. The accommodation was fantastic. The food was fantastic and the staff were amazing. They aren't your usual stuck-up staff. They are all down to earth people and they made me and all my guests feel welcome. I defiantly recommend anyone stay, eat or even get married here.

Full english breakfast was nearly as good as my Mom's 😉. Have absolutely no complaints!

Held my Birthday Lunch there and everything was exceptional. The organisation was very good, the service was superb and everyone commented on how good the food was and that the portions were very good indeed.

Some nights at The Barns Hotel. During a job not to far away I stayed in this Hotel. Very nice location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a great stay. Would stay again once necessary and available. 👍

We have been holding the AGM and Christmas lunch of our classic car club at The Barns Hotel for years. We've already booked for next year. Ideal facilities and located at the epicentre of our UK membership. The staff are just brilliant, always friendly & helpful and their food is just great.

Stayed for one night in September as couldn't find a room in a local hotel to Rugeley, however we were really impressed with The Barns, lovely room, bar, restaurant, and great customer service. We will definitely book again as we often stay near Rugeley when visiting family. Even though The Barns is a little further away from where we'd normally stay, the experience of one night's stay has given us confidence to book again.

On a walking trip, needed to stay near Cannock Chase so location perfect with lots of good local Pubs.
Rooms very clean and well appointed. Breakfast excellent as was service. A very well run ship.

We booked a special dinner for a ruby anniversary celebration at the barns. The entire experience from booking to the meal itself was simply beyond 5 star. The entire staff couldn’t do enough for us, it made a special occasion even better. We were all so impressed. Initially the special couple had booked a small family gathering downstairs, but we decided to secretly invite more people and move the celebrations to the private dining room upstairs where we could decorate and make the evening unforgettable. At every point, nothing was too much for the staff. From pre preparation over email to when we got there. The staff were all well prepped and ready for us to help decorate and set the table to how we liked it. The pre ordered food was no bother and even the specific requests were all correct and bang on. The food…wow! Some of the best we’ve all had, all served hot and all came out together, the kitchen staff obviously worked very hard to get all plates out so efficiently. These days, good service is hard to come by in hospitality but this team aren’t good, they are great! It’s so refreshing to see a young work force behave so professionally and act so kindly for such a large table.
Thank you to all the team for making our evening a night to remember and so special, we will recommend The Barns to anyone that listens, an absolute delightful and incredible evening.

Just wonderful

We had our wedding here on 5th August and we had the most amazing day ever. The Barns is a beautiful venue, all of our guests said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding, the service was fast and we would like to say a special thank you to John who made sure everything ran to perfection and it actually was PERFECTION !!

Everything about this place was great for a family wedding. Would recommend for short stays. Great food, helpful staff.

Great coffee, fantastic pub even better food.

Recently went to a wedding here where we also stayed the night. Venue was very clean and staff were Incredible. Shout out to Luke the Barman on the evening as remembered our drinks and would have them ready as we approached the bar - top man! The blonde girl serving prosecco after the wedding too was very polite and would quickly fill up your glass when empty (bad influence on my wife lol) . The food here is amazing. The portion sizes for the wedding party were huge and very tasty! I think it's the first time I've not been able to finish a cheesecake as it was a huge doorstop of a slice! Hotel rooms very spacious especially for a family of 4. Kids loved it and so did we. We will be coming back to sample their normal restaurant food soon as enjoyed that much. Well done to all the staff as you were all really polite and approachable. Deffo recommend this venue!
