Wonderful traditional place to eat and drink, very friendly stuff and delicious fresh food. The Maracuja Lemonade is also great, please try it, if you're there!

Super friendly and efficient service. Good assortment of items available on the menu.
Quality dishes made with care.  Good honest simple food.  The meatballs were great and in a delicious tomato sauce. The mixed croquettes of chicken, fish,  spinach and ham and cheese were good.  Mini chorizo sizzling in a pan delicious and excellent garlic bread.  The prawns in oil were plentiful but perhaps could've done with a touch more chilli.
The nut cake was moist and the Apple crumble slice was very good.
The local beers and wine I also recommend. The American IPA was really nice.
Nice little courtyard and reasonable prices.  EUR55 for 7 dishes and 4 drinks.

Visited Cafe Antigua Escuela yesterday in Yazia, Lanzarote. For those travelling from puerto del carmen it the 161 Lanzarote Bus or 20min drive from the strip. This location offers various tapas options and beautiful Spanish dishes alike. Our service by our waitress was fantastic, high professional approach to customer service and is an asset to this business. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will back very soon again!

The food was great, the service recognized us immediately and was very friendly again. The salad with cheese, nuts and apple (see photo) was a delicious combination.

We came here twice within a week as the food was really good. We had prawns, octopus and mushroom casserole, battered fish pieces and goat cheese salad with amazing fruity vinaigrette. For drinks, home-made lemonade with fresh ginger, lemon, mint leaves (really refreshing and tasty) and our guilty pleasure - cafe bombon (the one with condensed milk).
Highly recommended!

Found this place by accident and glad we did. Friendly, welcoming waiter who was very helpful. We decided on sharing a Spanish Omelette, Meaballs and a garlic bread between the two of us which worked out a perfect sized lunch. All freshly cooked and great taste. Can recommend the thirst-quenching ginger lemonade and can recommend this restaurant.

This cafe is in the center of the small Centro de Artisania, a wonderful spot to peruse some delightful jewellery and local art shops as well as get a tasty snack and good coffee or drinks. The food was excellent, the location is relaxed, all in all worth going out of your way to find.

Pulpo a la plancha was well done and delicious. Served with traditional canary potatoes and sauces. I will recommend this place.

Fantastic place. Very calm, relaxing, great traditional home made food and drinks. Beautiful staff, and an exceptional place with interior courtyard, exceptional architecture or Lanzarote typical interior courtyards.

We came across this mini campasino with a lovely bar/restaurant in the old school house in Yaiza. It is on the junction to timanfaya.
The service is great and the food and drinks excellent. There are also about 4 lovely artisan shops there too

I would highly recommend a visit, the food is fabulous and the staff are really friendly and welcoming.

As we were staying locally we popped in many times, sometimes just for their delicious coffee (to stay warm!) but once we tried the food, wow, it may be slightly dearer than other places but it is worth it. The lunch we had yesterday was one of our best on the Island. Try the pork and fries, you will not regret it!

We cannot wait to come back again, we have been to this place many times over the past 13 years but forgot how wonderful the food was, never again!

We visited regularly during our trip to Lanzarote. Despite being a large group we were always accommodated very well, greeted with a smile, and treated to fantastic service and delicious food. Would definitely recommend the Carne de Fiesta.
