Amazing! The scenery is breathtaking and dramatic. We had hired a car, so were able to drive round the National Park unhindered. Lots of good roads, but also tracks that allow you to see so much for free.

Wonderful! Do it, you won't regret it. Food is lovely & they dish out lots of wine & drinks for kids too. Beautiful views. Only warning I will give is TAKE HEADPHONES if you're getting the guided coach tour incase you get what we had tonight. Both have splitting heads & had to take tablets & lie down from being subjected to the worst "music" I've ever heard. Thought the coach was dragging metal along under us but it was playing on the speaker!!! Then a gap & a random loud dong & more screeching. Pure garbage. Pink Floyd I'm sure he said but honestly no beat or tune so 🤷 noise then yeah??? Loud awful random noise spoiling the views.
If you want to play anything up a Volcano play Lava or something for the love of God!!! Don't torture folk with blasting odd sounds at them. My forehead is throbbing so I'm coming off here. Definitely worth doing just remember to pack 👌

This place is surreal, straight out of science fiction. The land is like mars!

The national park entry includes a bus ride with a detailed audio guide. Also at the end of the tour they give a nice demonstration of geysers.

Perfect place for nature lovers!

Amazing area, very easy to imagine what it was like millions of years ago when the island was being formed. Bus trip round the volcanoes was worth seeing (part of the price).
Restaurant still sits on a hot spot.
Worth the visit

Amazing place. Incredible scenery. Feeling the heat, seeing the effects of the magma and eating food which had been cooked using that heat was a truly memorable experience. The restaurant has beautiful views - we were there at sunset. Was very busy - 3 coaches - but plenty of food!

Really great experience. We got their early and beat the crowds. Walked straight onto a bus when we parked and did that first. Amazing experience.

Kids under 7 go free and it's really good value for money. We paid £20 and got a 45 min bus tour and geothermal experiments for four of us.

If you love the volcanic landscape this is a must. Unfortunately not too many places to discover on your own or by foot, but even driving around and just enjoying the scenery is mesmerizing. We visited the visitor center by bus, so we skipped the lines. Nice attractions, to see that just below few meters underground it is still hot and active, just wow.

I recommend you visit Timanfaya if you are ever in Lanzarote. We postponed visiting twice and finally visited yesterday and I enjoyed every bit of it. We went early to avoid the queues. We went around 09:30 and there was some queue at the park entrance. We paid €24 for 2 of us. The car park was almost full but we got a parking space. The tour bus was parked and waiting to fill up, it is included as part of the entrance fee. We got on the bus and sat on the right side to get the best views.
The bus tour took about 25 minutes. It felt our of this world like you were in a different planet like Mars.

After the bus tour, we then saw some demonstrations of the heat from the ground, fire from the ground and where they cook the meat from the heat coming from the ground.
It was a beautiful day for this trip and Iwe thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I recommend this visit 1000%

Amazing bus trip around the Timanfaya National Park. The driver was absolutely great stopping where there are the most interesting things to see. A bit scary and not properly suggested to those who suffer from carsickness. But absolutely worth it

I just drove through the park, there was a visitor centre and camel rides along the way….I didn’t do any of that. But the drive was beautiful, lovely mountain landscapes and the volcanic rock on all roadsides are worth seeing. The roads are good and well marked.

Fantastic Experience, I came here when I was younger but was certainly able to appreciate how gorgeous it is now!

We had around a 30 minute wait but that flys by and then got straight onto a tour bus. Well worth the $12 each. Great history lesson and was very interesting.

The drivers are very talented, I would have written a bus off on my first day.

Would highly recommend visiting while in Lanzarote!

Magical place. You feel the power of nature. The sights and the demonstrations are very impressive. Be prepared for a wait to park on a busy day

In the National Park, I liked the atmosphere of "the first days of the creation of the world" - vast spaces filled with solidified magma and various volcanic natural minerals. The tour of these spaces was interesting. We drove through places where frozen lava literally hung over a bus with tourists. And, of course, you can't ignore the interesting musical accompaniment in the pauses between the tour guide's stories. The final composition by Richard Strauss "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" is especially impressive

Arrived about 10.30 on a Sunday and waited in the car for about 45 minutes to get in and parked.
We didn’t buy tickets in advance so it was cash only at the entrance gate.
Once in, we went on the bus which is included in the price and went up through the volcanoes- stunning scenery. Commentary was in Spanish, English and German.
We had baguettes in the cafe- good value and they took card!

Superb scenery ... it feels like you're on a different planet. I loved how they cooked the meat for the restaurant and the water demonstration. We've arrived early at 9 am. Otherwise, we would have stayed in the queue for quite a long time. Don't miss the information centre ...

TNP is located in southwestern part of Lanzarote. It is huge in size abbout 50 square kilometers. The volcano had erupted here around 1730 and 1824. At present there is only one volcalo active called Timanfaya after which it is named. The entry is open between 9 AM to 4.45 PM. If you are travelling individually then it is better to reach here early because afterwards there is a long queue to enter the park. The entry charge is 9 euros which also include a 30 minute coach drive with commentary of volcanic landscape which is absolutely amazing. The entry to the park is restricted to protect the environment. In active volcano they give the demonstration by pouring water into the ground which comes out as steam in few seconds. They also throw dry bush in the hole which immediately catches fire. Here just below 40 feet the temprature is almost 400 c. There is also a souvenir shop and restaurant here El Diablo where most of the cooking is done with natural heat. Also there is a camel ride to see some part of volcano which one should take after finishing park to avoid rush. Worth seeing with entire family.

Great national park - astonishing landscape completely shaped by volcanic activity. You get to see the fault line via the many volcanos and some stunning views from the peaks and the valleys. It looks like you've travelled to another planet. An absolute must see in Lanzarote. note: to control access, the tour around the park is guided through a bus tour - book in advance rather than just turning up. The tours offer a brilliant service and included many other sites.
