A must see for all aviation enthusiasts! The collection of aircraft is impressively massive and they have some really unique pieces. It's a great insight into the Eastern aviation branch from the first world war all the way to the present day.

And above all: it's FREE!!
Be sure to check the map for the hangar containing the bombers, you don't want to miss it.

They have some food and drinks on the spot and a fantastic souvenir shop with something for everyone and all ages.

An exquisite exhibition showing the history of flying in the Czech Republic from the early days right after WWI all the way to the modern jet fighters and even the landing module of a cosmic spacecraft. Many unique and rare planes are here on display, including legendary WWI fighter SPAD VIII from 1918. There's an excellent representation of WWII planes here as well. The best aircraft museum in the Czech Republic.

Really under estimated place, it is nice, has all information in Czech and English, they have drinks there ( accepts only cash ) but the entrance is for free for everyone. Hope in future i can see modern airplanes as well.

Amazing collection of aircraft, focussing on Czech and Soviet aircraft but with several historic western planes as well.

It's easily reached from Prague centre on Red Line metro and short bus journey (number 185 worked for us), or you could walk the last bit. You can see it from the metro station but it is a bit of a hike.

Free entry but closed on Mondays.

This place has not one, but two ME262, One in the A variant and one in the B variant. I believe it's the only museum in the world to do this.

The nearest thing to a complaint I had was that I was traveling using card payments only and to buy drinks from the cafe you needed to pay in cash which I did not have.

This was a really good aviation museum. Being from Canada. It was really nice to see how other countries advanced in their aviation. I would advise taking some time to get here as it's really hard to find as our Uber driver got lost and couldn't find it. We had to actually ask locals on the whereabouts. The signage is really small so it's hard to find. I believe there is a local charge to get into this museum but on the day we went it was free washrooms on site and a bistro where you can have lunch and of course beer. The guides that were working in some of the airport hangers were actually really nice to talk to. Their English was somewhat okay but with Google translate we are able to carry on a conversation and I got to learn some exciting things as well

Great museum for aircraft (mostly airplane) enthusiasts! Would highly recommend this if you’re a fan of airplanes and the history behind it. A good mix of modern and classic planes - both civilian and military applications.

An aviation museum on the outskirts of Prague that is well worth seeing
This museum is free to enter and will reward any visitor who cares to visit it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place is well maintained. A large number of aircraft can be viewed here, including a Soviet Hind helicopter, Me-262’s and a Gloster Meteor, as well as MiG early jets. Obviously newer machines are currently in use, but it’s an excellent place to visit to see aviation history from early biplanes of the 20’s, up to the Soviet jets of the 80’s. Even those who are not aviation buffs will get enjoyment from this place and it is a welcome break outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre of Prague.

Very good museum with a good collection of soviet planes that would be hard to see anywhere west of this location. Warning: all the hangars close at 17:30, not 18:00.
As others have said, finding the annex is not trivial and about 15mn away by foot. If you are short on time, it's skipable and you can concentrate on the main location.
If you care about planes, plan 4H for a proper visit.

Awesome expo of historic, mostly military aircraft. Many of these I vividly remember from my childhood, it's like a dream walking around these machines, also a boys' dream "toyland". This hidden gem is away from Prague center where one finds the Czech Technical Museum with just a few aircraft on display. Small concession stand serves snack food and excellent draft beer. I think the dad, son & perhaps whole family will enjoy visiting this museum, I know I will again!

Lovely aircraft museum. Most of the planes are well preserved and maintained. There are also descriptions with history of each type and individual aircraft.

Very nice museum, free entrance, with old sovietic planes from up to the very start of the 20th century. I wasn't expecting so many planes showcased but it is quite huge with areas dedicated to several time periods, including WW1 planes, early 20s planes, warplanes from 1950+ (jet fighters, bombers, etc...).
Really impressed with this collection of planes in good condition.

I've been to Kbely Museum twice before, but I was blown away the last time I went. New displays and organization make the museum feel more interesting and the cafe / food was open for the first time since I started going. If you have interest in aviation or are looking for something unique to do in Prague, Kbely Museum is the place to go. Very accessible from public transit too. Not to mention the free entry for such a great display - Whenever I go I always get an item or two at the gift shop to support the museum.

Situated on the outskirts of Prague, it's a bit difficult to get to but worth the effort. Tip... download the PID transport app which will tell you how to get there. We had to take a tram, metro and bus.
As others have said, there is good selection of aircraft and engine's on display. Information in Czech and English. Take the time to read it as it's very interesting. There is also a small cabin where you can get snacks and drinks.
Be aware that this is still part of a military airfield so areas are restricted.
Free to enter the museum though.
