The Czech National Museum is a real gem. If you are from the Czech Republic, you will visit it many times in your lifetime, but there is always something new to discover. I am reviewing it now after my visit at the end of 2023. Here after several years when it was undergoing many renovations and modifications. I can say straight away that it is amazing.

The basic sightseeing tours have undergone significant change and really are true to the 21st century. They are great for families and adult tourists alike. Everything is viewed created with the history of the Czech Republic and Czech lands in mind, but still has a big and global overlap.

The fact that the building itself is an architectural gem makes a visit a real treat. The main building is connected to the new building of the National Museum, which also offers interesting and usually simultaneous exhibitions.

Allow at least three hours for your tour. I always recommend buying tickets in advance and visiting some of the other exhibitions.

Beautiful museum, one of the best ones I have ever visited. It has beautiful architecture in the second half and there are a lot of information points around exhibitions. The staff are helpful and there are a lot of maps if you get lost. You can go to the top and look out across Prague and get some amazing photos.

A must-visit! Amazing collection of minerals and precious/semi-precious stones. Also, the life-size mammoth and dinasours really paint a picture. A lot of fossils can be found as well.

I strongly recommend it, for kids as well. We visited the museum complex, but there was also another exhibition of Baroque in Bohemia.

There are not enough stars one could give to this place! Getting in was easy thanks to self-service ticket machines. The staff was very helpful, but that only enhanced our overall experience. There is so much to see! I was particularly amazed by the Minerals exhibition and the history exhibitions. It was truly an amazing experience. If you have the time, you can easily stay for the whole day. In 2 hours you would only get a taste of it.

Huge museum with great historical building. The museum complex has different kinds of exhibitions, nearly all of them are interesting.

Especially the animal world and the minerals part were my favorites. You get a chance to learn Czech history as well. All have a great amount of pieces and understandable descriptions with them.

Historical building is located at the start of the Wencaslas Square and in it there is a chance to see all of the street from the building's top floor.

One of the best museums I ever visited. There are few kiosks which you can buy tickets in addition to the long queue and entry fee is very reasonable price compared to the quality of the exhibition.

You can tell the exhibitions are very well thought through cover from pre-historical, historical by years up to present time. The museum’s app is excellent and enhances the entire experience. The staff was very polite and nice and even suggested a route to visit the exhibitions. My favourite exhibition was the miracles of evolution. The Venus statue was also in a temporary exhibition, which was awesome.

The cafe seats are limited so if you are tired, better to sit on the bench inside exhibition room and enjoy the contents while rest your legs for couple minutes.

Possibly the best 11,5 euros spent in Prague. I liked this museum a lot because it covers a large number of topics: minerals, history, biology, politics and even architecture and fashion. Also, the place serves you the unforgettable interior and picturesque views. It is a museum you do not want to miss!

A must go at Prague. One of the best mesuems I have ever visited. I reckon at least 3 hours is needed to have a full experience of this fab place. There are so many to view, to listen to, to feel at each level. The design of the route is well-thought as well so you don't get lost or bored within the building. It is also child friendly, and you can find seats easily. Do miss the roof area where you can go up and have a overview of this lovely city! If I come back to Prague I would definitely visit again!

The Czech National Museum was a delightful experience. The building itself is beautiful and an architectural masterpiece. Very bright with lots of natural light in all the right places. The exhibits are well designed, and I especially enjoyed the collection of meteors.

I visited with a group of students, and the staff were friendly and very helpful in guiding us through the entrance and into the museum.

The shop and cafe are quite decent and I found the prices reasonable and fair.

All in all, it was a great experience, and I would gladly visit again.

I had the opportunity to visit the museum on Czechoslovakia independence day. The museum was open to all that day. So obviously it was crowded. I had to wait for around 30m in a queue before I entered the museum. The museum has lockers and quite a few toilets. The museum itself was so beautiful. It involves history and evolution.

This is a very rare exception for me to pay for a museum more than 10.EUR equivalent, but I have to admit it was worth it - great diversity, wonderful setting and very focused visitors (:

In the basement there are toilets, lockers and a cloakroom, and three floors to explore, that evidently rotate exhibitions from time to time - so, visiting decent time apart, one can always find more to see.

Lots of information, additional insights and stuff for kids to interact with. One can choose their pace and spend anywhere between 1.5 hours for a skimming fly-by to 3-4 hours of a meditative journey with leg breaks and reading everything.

The museum has different parts including history of Bohemia and history of different animals. Different parts can be not really related to each other. However I enjoyed the museum, some parts were serious historical parts so I was reading everything in details and the next one was about animals so I was checking quickly and relaxing.

They have a lot of really interesting exhibits and displays. Their geological displays were incredible. You could spend a long time on that alone admiring the collection. You should definitely plan to spend several hours here. The tickets are very reasonably priced, and you can purchase them at the entrance.

This place is great! Very kid friendly. They also have lockers for your pack. Tickets can be purchased at the kiosk just inside the door. Small snacks can be purchased at the gift shop along with kids toys and a small selection of souvenirs. The bathrooms are clean and good. Lots of really cool exhibits for every age. Beautiful spot for photos too.
