What a terrific experience. We visited the castle through one of the Free Tour web sites who helped us take a tram to the top so we could enter from a less crowded entrance. The whole place is stunning. Building after building is immaculate and the varied architecture is fascinating. Our guide pointed out the different styles and in one square you can see 4 or 5 different eras of architecture. I think I took over 400 pictures in the 45 minutes we were there and felt I barely scratched the surface. Definitely a must see!!

Prague Castle will give you Harry potter vibes. It’s beautiful and very majestic. Moreover, it has a very roman culture vibes and Architecture is beautiful. The castle is filled with lot of tourists everyday and view from above is very beautiful. Also, they do parade as well everyday so watch-out for that. Furthermore, you will hardly found any washroom inside so be prepared. But this castle seems like came out from films.
Must go in Europe!!!!!

If the aim is to just wander about the castle grounds and admire the grounds, its cobbled stone walks, you do not need to buy a ticket.

Since my aim is to just wander the castle grounds, I did not buy any ticket. I went to the castle grounds at around 9:30 am. There were not a lot of people yet. I was able to take photos in peace.

The Prague castle is a sprawling complex. It hosts different landmarks in one area. For example, The Post Office exhibit across the entrance of the Vitus Cathedral was free so I went and checked it out. For stamp collectors, they offer collectibles and souvenirs.

There are cafes within the castle grounds but I did not buy anything. I did buy my fridge magnet from the souvenir shop within the grounds.

This castle was one of the bests that I've seen so far. A combination of old Roman architecture and later Bohemian and full of historical stories. It takes around 3,4 hours to fully visit all sections of castle so be prepared to spend half of your day in that :)

If you walk up the stairs or just take a tram to Prague Castle, I can assure you that you won't regret that. Beautiful building, which different parts that were built in different eras can offer also a panoramic view of Prague. And the best part? It is free to enter and see the architecture of the Czechs. Well, if you want to come inside the castle then you'll have to buy a ticket, but that wasn't necessary for me.

in the basic ticket you can visit a part of the castle, the golden alley and the cathedral. the castle in Prague is said to be the largest in Europe. it includes many buildings, was the residence of the emperors and is the residence of the current president. it has several inner courtyards. in the first of them you can witness the changing of the guard at 12 o'clock. reserve a day to visit it. after climbing a few hundred steps, depending on which entrance you choose, you start to visit the castle. walking on the alleys is free, but if you want to visit the interior, the cathedral or the golden alley, you have to pay a ticket.

A beautiful place. Enjoy the way to reach the castle. I recommend star in the Carlos bridge, walk around 30 minutes, maybe could be hard, but, when you reach the peak. The castle will be phenomenal. Then in the castle, enjoy each moment, each view, all that you can imagine. Take photos, videos, make reel, storys. Enjoying. Be prepared to make a hiking (15 min to reach the peak).

Prague Castle, a historical gem, commands attention with its grandeur and rich heritage. The complex seamlessly blends architectural styles, showcasing centuries of Czech history. St. Vitus Cathedral stands as a breathtaking centerpiece. The Golden Lane offers a charming stroll through medieval times. While the crowds can be overwhelming, the panoramic views of Prague are unparalleled. The well-preserved interiors and captivating stories make this castle a cultural treasure. Despite the occasional crowds, Prague Castle is an essential stop for anyone enchanted by history and architectural splendor.

The castle is really nice and has a lot of houses to visit and also a big cathedral and a smaller chapel. Make sure to go visit the Gold Lane that has a lot of medieval armor and also if you want to have a nice view on the whole city of Prague, go up the Tower with 287 stairs. So my tip: buy the Basic circuit tour and the tower visit!

What a fortress. Beautiful architecture, a staple of human achievement, as most of the Czech Republic is. If you're in Prague, Czech Republic, the Prague Castle is a must-see. It's Gothic and full of history and art. Beautiful churches and cathedral and property. Very clean, plenty to learn.

Note - You must purchase a photo license at the ticket booth if you have a camera that isn't your phone. It's not much, but if you're a photographer then it's a must.

Spectacular and well worth the walk over the river and up the hill. Such an incredible and rich history - and apparently the largest ancient castle in the world. As an added bonus, access to most things was free when we visited on Christmas Eve.

Lovely climb up the main road side with shops and cafes on a cobbled street. Very busy at the top but lots of space to move around. Great photo opportunities of the castle and the view out over the city.

Very impressive castle and cathedral. If you like Gargoyles this is the place to be.
Wonderful vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows and tombs. Lots of history, but definitely advise getting a guide tour to get the most out of it.
Fenestration was a hit

Prague castle is a beautiful landmark that is amazing to see with your own eyes! The architecture alone is an amazing experience to walk through and their walking tours through the locations and facilities are phenomenal. This is one of the most beautiful locations I have seen in Europe and 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Prague. The lines to go inside some locations are very long, so be ready for a little wait.

One of the main attraction in Prague. Very nicely maintained. A Entry ticket is required to visit different parts of the castel. Main attraction is the Cathedral. Also keep a look out for hidden gems like the post office museum.
