On entrance you have the choice of stairs or lift, if taking the lift you miss out on the beautiful rooms on route to the tower. Once you've reached the top there is an amazing view. Well worth the visit.

If you go to Prague it is mandatory to go and see it. It is already wonderful from the outside, the ticket price is negligible compared to the view it offers over the city. For those who suffer from vertigo I recommend taking the lift up, otherwise everything is perfect. If you go up on foot it's a bit of effort but it's worth it.

Very interesting piece of art and innovation. Clever. Not to be missed. Especially the rather fleeting apostles‘ delight to spectators .

Get you heartbeat up and climb the tower for amazing views over Old Town

An absolutely must see for everyone who's visiting Prague!
I highly suggest to go on the top and take photos/videos because you can get a great view of all the city from 4 different sides. The price is 12 € if you choose to use steps instead of elevator (they're very easy to climb). You can also visit the historical interiors of the building.

Unfortunately I didn’t do enough research to fully understand what only a walk by would have me missing. It’s a beautiful building but make sure you take time to walk around and see the clock. Buy the tickets and climb the stairs. This is one of the oldest mechanical working clocks still working today. So fascinating.

Cgreat views from the top ealk up without lift is manageable. Came in as part of tour city pass so cost not an issue. Interesting whiz round in 30 minutes stand outside to see clock chime on the hour don't queue or be too early as makes 60 seconds and can be seen from all views. ** went back and did guided tour 1 hr soooo much better personally I found it interesting and an insight to historic Prague and region***

Visited this clock multiple times you will find that on your trip to Prague if you don’t end up back at Charles Bridge then you’ll definitely be back in the centre on the old town at the astronomical clock. This clock is only accessible by foot as its an almost market square area. Beautiful visit, please visit this clock on an hour as you will get to see a little show (no spoilers here).

No tickets needed to visit it is free unless you want a guide (local) or I believe you can enter but that would be charged at the clock. ☺

With so many options of towers you can climb in Prague, I would highly recommend going up the astronomical clock tower! Very easy to get up, even if you are physically handicapped due to an elevator that goes all the way to the top (this costs extra).
The view is great! You can see all the big attractions in Prague. We went up at night time in December so the Christmas markets were beautiful. So glad we did this one!
Also includes a walk around the interior of the town hall and has tours on its history.
Highly recommend

If you are interested in old architecture, this area is incredibly exciting to visit. It is nice, clean and cozy here. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, cafes and bars, so there are many places to sit and relax. There is a good atmosphere here, but also many tourists. 5 stars from me. ☀☀☀☀☀

One of the most famous landmarks in Prague. Every time the bell is ready to ring, a lot of people gather outside and wait, and it’s fun to watch the puppets come and go in a circle. It is highly recommended that you buy a ticket to see the interior. In addition to going behind the astronomical clock to see how the gears drive the dolls to escape, you can also go to some of the interior halls to see the exquisite carvings of past history, and you can also go up to the top floor to look around the beautiful It’s a feast for the eyes to see the cityscape of Prague, and I personally think it’s very worthwhile.

Brilliant views of the old town from the top. They have put in a modern ramp to go up so it is no cramped and easy on the legs. The clock is great - had a short guided tour which helped understand it! Also the rooms in the building are quite nice to see.

Reserve a tour of the inside! They sell out regularly so do it early. Beautiful set up on the inside and wonderful views when you're at the top looking out. Also the underground tour is good too!

The Clock really is special from the skeleton rolling the bell to the windows opening and the twelve apostles bestowing their blessing on the public! It is something worth seeing and appreciating the fact that this has been maintained over so many years!

The Astronomical Clock's location in the bustling Old Town Square makes it a hub of activity, with tourists and locals alike admiring its beauty and waiting to witness its animated performance.

While the clock is a must-see attraction in Prague, its popularity can result in large crowds during the hourly shows. Nonetheless, taking a moment to marvel at this ancient timepiece and appreciate its intricate craftsmanship is an experience that encapsulates the city's rich cultural heritage and timeless allure.

We waited for 5pm o’clock to go off. Watch the blue windows open up, watch the little skeleton shake the bell. It’s magical. Loads of people stop and watch. The whole place is very old fashion, great sightseeing opportunities around.
Perfect for a family.

We bought tickets to go I nside and paid extra to take the elevator to the top. You can take the stairs (free) which were more like ramps but the only thing is there are choke points where you have to wait for the crowd to slowly dissipate. The top of tower is so crowded and I didn’t like the idea of feeling cramped with all the folks. Definitely worth the ticket to view inside.

You do not need tickets to see the astronomical clock. Before the launch, which is repeated every hour, many people begin to gather in the square. But definitely do not miss this monument. The clock is a astronomical clock from 1410. The astronomical dial dominates in the middle and the calendar board below it. Above the astronomical dial are two windows in which the apostles move. The clock is complemented by sculptures along the edges, a bust of an angel between the windows of the apostles and a rooster with sound in the upper part above the windows. It's beautiful. Wow! It’s a beautiful clock and building next to a wonderful square. If you’re not careful, you can almost miss the clock by walking right by it. I think it’s a must see while in Prague.
