I don’t know why is coming as a hotel but this is a restaurant. And not any restaurant, this definitely the best food and drinks we had during our vacations in Cuba. The staff is very helpful and professional, providing excellent service and the building is amazing. It is highly recommended and we’ll definitely go back. Well done guys👏👍

Came here with some hesitation, given that I'd read some recent reviews accusing this place of being overhyped. But, I reasoned, everyone from Obama to Madonna have dined here. It can't be that bad!

Well let me tell you, this place was the real deal -- definitely an iconic Havana restaurant for good reason.

We wandered in around 5pm. We noticed that the building itself is fabulous and interesting as we climbed to the second floor, which houses the main restaurant, where the outdoor terrace is clearly the place to be (empty at 5pm but filled up later on). We chose to climb to the very top floor, where we were greeted by a sexy little bar. The music selection suited the vibe perfectly. And the panoramic view over Havana was top notch! We sat at a high-top table and enjoyed FABULOUS cocktails as the sun set. So beautiful and romantic. We decided to stay for dinner and everything we ate was delicious (and reasonably priced) -- octopus carpaccio, melon gazpacho and grilled swordfish with rice.

Great place to find a little luxury in Havana. Beautiful rooftop for a sunset view and truly excellent service. We had ropa vieja, tuna steak, a bottle of wine, dessert and a lemonade. The bill was around 70€ which is okay because everything was up to the standard of much more expensive places in Europe!

La Guarida is undeniably one of the best restaurants in Havana. The food is exquisite, and the location, set in a historic building, adds to the cool factor. A must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience.

Super popular place - wasn’t able to get a reservation until 8:30pm on a Monday! We got to the restaurant early and had to wait since the table wasn’t ready. Unassuming building but it is labeled - doorman was friendly and could see we were looking for the entry. Restaurant is on the 3rd floor so be prepared for stairs.

We were sent to the [open air] rooftop bar to wait; hostess called the bar when our table was ready (approx 8:50pm) Must close out ticket at the bar since check processing system is different. Rooftop bar has a wonderful view ambience except for the person who was watching Tic Tok on speakerphone and refused turn down the volume despite multiple guests (from different parties) asking her to turn it down.

Ordered “Green Ceviche” (had a avocado sauce), fish (that was deboned at the table), banana chips (that came out hot), lemon meringue (unusual - it was deconstructed) - all of the food was outstanding. The service is friendly, speaks English well.

The thing about Cuba is that the outside maybe so rustic but the inside looks classy. That's the same with this restaurant. Old world charm and class. I loved the atmosphere, professional staff and great overall service. Fine dinning restaurant and great separate rooftop bar.

Went to dinner and a jazz night on the rooftop patio. Beautiful view, great atmosphere, good service and overall good food. On the pricier side, relative to options in Cuba, but realistically a very affordable nice meal/evening.

Our dinner at La Guarida was spectacular! From the hostesses greeting to the end of our meal, the entire experience was fantastic. The service was top tier and the food *chef's kiss. If I could give 10 stars, I would!! The fact that they played Stevie Wonder's birthday song for me made me cry.... It was such a fantastic experience

The food in the restaurant is amazing, appetizers, full meal and the desserts are out of this world!!

A little pricy but highly recommend a visit! The rooftop was beautiful and the whole place felt special. We just went for a couple drinks and dessert. It was the perfect experience!

We enjoyed our experience immensely! Great ambiance, great servers, and great food. I recommend the marlin tacos and the watermelon gazpacho as a starter, the fish of the day and the slow-roasted pork as an entree, and the puff pineapple pastry as a dessert.

Had a birthday whilst travelling so hubby booked this. Wow. Beautiful place with great food. Loved the octopus carpaccio and then my steak but the best was yet to come. The desert (plainly labelled as puff pasty with apple) was a triumph. Go now and have that desert. As good as anything in Paris. 💚

Such an amazing place, you walk into what looks like an abandoned mansion and walk up a flight of marble stairs to get to the restaurant. Continue on to 2 rooftop patios. The bar is on the top with a view of the sea and Havana. Cocktails were fabulous. We then went to the restaurant for dinner and sat on the patio for a minute then it started to rain! Actually turned out ok as they moved us to one of the rooms which has a tiny balcony on the front of the building and a view of the street. The rooms were charmingly eclectically designed and the Service was great. Together with El Cochinero, this was the best meal we've had in Havana. Mucho dinero though. Yikes.

Growing up in NYC I heard stories about this legendary restaurant in Cuba 🇨🇺. Many years later I finally got a chance to experience the ambiance, aesthetic, and sensory aroma of this amazing place. Words cannot express my gratitude. Viva La Cuba 🇨🇺!

Let me just say that we visited this paladar 3 times during our holidays in Havana. The place looks stunning, anywhere you might sit (at one the small balconies, inside, at the large terrace) you are going to love it, it also offers a great rooftop where you might enjoy a cocktail and a cigar after your meal. The service is professional and - most importantly- the food is incredible. I will miss those tacos, the glazed tuna, that apple tart and much more. I know that some people are furious for some reason when a meal in Cuba is not cheap, but this restaurant is worth every cent.

Just step out of the cab and walk on in. Trust me....you will love the experience. You walk up a few flights of stairs and are transported into a delicious, fine dining experience. You dine on a roof under the cuban stars and surrounded by a sweet ambience. Food is incredible, especially the desert. The chocolate tart with English cream has to be the best chocolate dish I've ever had.

Happy with our fine dining experience here. The food was amazing as well as the service we received. Waited at the roof top bar until our reservation was ready.
Just be prepared to walk up several flights of stairs once you arrive.
Totally worth it!

Al fresco rooftop dining at it's finest! Best handcrafted cocktails, outstanding tableside prepared Caesar Salad and delicious main courses! A must when in Havana! The trek up to the top is an adventure, too.

I didn't eat here but i think it's expensive.. just came for a drink at the terrace and it's a great place with excellent views.. the building is impressive, even though you can see it had better times in the past..
i would strongly recommend to at least visit it for a drink

The tuna tartare was amazing. It was so good looking I didn't take any pics before eating. By far the best thing we had while in Cuba.
