The BEST hotel for Americans to stay in. Great location. Excellent food. Very American-friendly. Excellent rooms and Suites. You won't be disappointed. I've been here several times. I should know!

Excellent price, service and the location is amazing. That area allows us to get everywhere just walking.
The rooms are super comfy. We love our trip and our staying.

What an amazing experience is like stepping back in time. And you can picture the celebrities. The history this hotel has to offer with a perfect location. Beautiful food, lovely swimming pool. The staff are incredible and you get to see nice pictures on the wall where the celebrity stayed and just. What is all about our definite recommendation here? To fill the true beauty and character this country has to offer. I would definitely like to come here again.

I didn't stay here as a guest, but visited with a local friend who showed me around the grounds. We also went in the little museum they have here, which was pretty cool. Interesting place with a lot of history.

We just stopped in for a drink but I bet this a beautiful place to stay. The patio is lovely with a beautiful view and I absolutely love the roaming peacocks. Great place for beautiful photos.

By far and away, the most prestigious hotel in Cuba. The list of celebrities who've stayed here is too long to list but when Chaplin and Sinatra stay in a place, you know that place has earned its 5 stars. That old world glamour is everywhere and is usually welcomed except when you want to pop into a restaurant on site. They asked me to wear formal black trousers as they did not accept the wearing of shorts. The sound of music, the lapping of sea waves, the setting sun, drinking a mojito and smoking a cigar, it's all very picturesque. In addition, the outside area has these free roaming chickens so you can meet your meal beforehand. Inside there is a private members only smoking room loaded with smiling hostesses and walls lined with expensive cigars. Even if you're not staying here, a visit is all but essential to see how Havana used to be before the revolution.

Stayed here for a month years ago now, but i still remember it as one of the best hotel experiences i've ever had!

Breathtaking hotel. Step back in time and enjoy the beautiful views and also majestic service. Food, drinks and ambiance was spectacular.

Yes, the iconic historic hotel is still a good place to stay. Sure there are other modern options, but the ambiance and the service here provide a more authentic Havana feeling. Casa del Habano inside, but the pool is currently under construction. The courtyard and peacocks bring the place together like a slappy bass player in a funk band. I just had a Cigar in the Cigar Lounge. Absolutely to be done! Very good and educated people that look after you and give you a perfect Cigar service!

Exceptional cafe at the gardens of this amazing hotel.
The service was very fast Kai polite.
At the basement you can find Cigar Shop with various of cigars.
The prices was better than the shop nearby the factory.

Caution: you need only cash/credit card. They will not accept cash (from any currency)

We didn't stay there but sat and drank mojitos in the garden. A beautiful place to sit, relax and enjoy the time, cocktails are good, just a little more expensive than a local bar but still very affordable. Credit card only. It's unfortunately one of the few places with a decent toilet in Cuba.

What a great experience! The staff were courteous, the cocktails lovely and very reasonably priced, and the view amazing! The peacocks provided us with extra entertainment. We were not there as guests, but for an afternoon,I forgot my Kindle there, and when we went back, the security went the extra mile to return it to me. I was overwhelmed with how well they handled my inquiry and the way they treated me without even staying at the hotel. I can highly recommend a visit if you don’t stay there.Thanks Hotel National!

The suites furniture would thank a deeper restoration, but the beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom meets all the fundamental needs. Amazing receptionists, valet and door service, lovely room cleaning and extremely well tendered gardens. Strongly recommend.

One of the best hotels in Cuba. The Director is very attend to the needs of the clients. Historical place with unique architecture. Amazing garden with gorgeous sea view. I recommend the show of the night club Le Parisien

Beautiful beautiful place. So much history and staff are very very nice too. Bathrooms are dated but everything was very clean. We absolutely loved our stay there. If you happen to be there don't forget to try their grill food by the pool. They got two grills but the one by the pool serving expectional food.

We stayed nearby but went over for the cabaret show and the tour. Show was a bit cheesy tbh and the meal with it wasn't anything special. You got 3 drinks with the meal. Show was $20 each. Not sure I would recommend it tbh. The tour of the hotel though was very cheap, less than $5 for 2 of us. She showed us round the lobby, elevators, mafia rooms, gardens, hall of fame. We enjoyed the history and the ticker came with a drinks token so we drank those in the garden with the peacocks 🦚 would recommend.

Five stars because of the history of the hotel and its location by the sea. apart from the morning coffee, with a view of the palm trees and the sea, you should definitely visit the cabaret in the evening and feel the spirit of Cuba from the time when the hotel was built.
