Loved coming here this was a historical place in the history of cuba in this very spot many cubans have witnessed fidel castro do his speech which lasted over 7hrs. The area is a good place to stop and take a look around at the local buildings and famous landmarks. lots of the old classic cars stop here and this is a good place to see more of them in one place.

A huge open space that seem like a parking, but you never get any parked cars there.
Of course, great views over the big portraits of Che and Fidel.

An impressive huge square in front of the José Martí Memorial. And as always, you know you are at a tourist attraction when you see the display of vintage cars.

Massive square which want to celebrate the greatness of Cuba. There are several points of interest such as the monument to Jose Martin, considered the real father of Cuban people’s power. The wall to Camillo Cinfuegos and to Ernesto Che Guevara.
The square has been gathered more than one million people during the speeches of Fidel Castro and also during the visit of Popes John Paul II in 1998 and Francis In 2015. For sure it deserves a visit.

Quite astounding when seeing it in person. It's definitely a different type of scale than what I expected. The square is enormous. It's definitely a must-see location in Cuba.

This is a must if you visit La Havana. It's in the middle of nowhere and there are no trees around so I would highly recommend you to take a taxi because it's too hot to walk. There are pretty impressive constructions, monuments and the famous Che Guevara and Marti sculptures and you will enjoy it!

Nice and safest environment with almost no people at the end of the day. Touristic place but as I was there in June not crowded at all

It's the highest point of Havana City. You can going up using an elevator and see an outstanding 360 degrees view of the city.
At bottom there is a permanent exposition about how this monument was built. Golden columns hold ceiling of this area. Wall are decorated with Jose Martí text.

This was an outstanding cultural experience. Visiting Havana, Cuba is definitely one of the highlights of this year. The city and its people were different than I thought they would be. They were friendly, helpful and very open. Go if you can.

OMG, so many amazing vintage cars!! All of the cars are available for hire, so you can take a drive around Havana in style. Mechanics would be interested to take a peek under the hood. Most American cars (all pre 1959) have been converted to Russian diesel engines, lol. Why they are still running so well I suppose. Very cool to see the buildings with Che Guevara and Fidel Castro images. You feel like a part of history. There is a huge plaza that likely holds parades and gatherings of people. Hot and humid when we were there in February. Bucket list item checked off!

My father waited his entire life to visit La Habana. I was able to help him fulfill his wish. At 74 and with not steady footing, we trekked across the city, rode in a car mostly, but by god, he made it there! A trip and chance of a lifetime, for both of us.

A must visit when visiting Havana. Visited this place as part of a tour in an old classic car. Recommend doing this with a good guide to really explain all the historical facts and the major events that occurred here.

Big open space surrounded by a lot of Cuban history. My favorite was Camilo Cienfuegos who is an underrated and fascinating historical figure. Great spot to also see a lot of vintage cars.
