I had the loveliest stay here! The hotel itself is beautiful, incredibly tastefully designed and super peaceful. The perfect oasis from which to explore Havana! Every little detail is perfectly thought out so that you have absolutely everything you need to be comfortable and relax, from all the amenities in the room to the restaurant and sight seeing recommendations, as well as tours offered by the hotel. The hosts are very kind and dedicated, easy to communicate with and willing to share their experiences and insights with guests. The location is grand. Couldn’t recommend it more for a fantastic Havana stay. Also, they make the only real espresso I found during my two weeks in Cuba, and the breakfast is delicious :)!

Fantastic place to stay when visiting Havana. The location in Old Havana is perfect for getting around by foot and the place itself is really beautiful and done with great detail. It had everything we needed and Andre was a wonderful host who offered great support booking cars and tours. We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Would highly recommend!

It’s hard to come up with the right words to describe what a special boutique hotel Andre and Sandy have created. It is such a wonderful, modern, warm and inviting space - a perfect blend of contemporary design working in perfect harmony with, and enhancing the beautiful architectural features of, this stunning residence in Old Havana. On top of the outstanding physical attributes, the hospitality offered by Andre, Sandy, and their team (including the drivers and tour guides they work with) is top notch. The breakfasts were creative and delicious, the rum selection was excellent, and every detail in the service was well conceived and perfectly executed. All this resulted in a memorable stay in a place where we truly felt at home.

Andre and Sandy’s menus of tours and suggested restaurants were also great - we enjoyed every meal we booked at their suggested venues. We also booked the Cuban art tour (with Katia) which was one of the highlights of our visit - Katia is super friendly and knowledgeable, and clearly loves (and is very good at) what she does! Her gentle approach of introducing us to Cuban art through the centuries - and through various lenses - was extremely skillful and thoughtful, and made for a great way to spend one of our days in Havana.

We couldn’t have imagined a better stay and more helpful host than Andre at AS Boutique residence. The house is very beautifully restored, rooms are decorated with wonderful taste and comfort. It was an experience on its own spending time in this artistic space in the heart of Old Havana. Breakfast and coffee were excellent despite the current food shortages- the best we had all over Cuba during our 2-week trip. Thanks to Andre we were able to discover many great spots all over town, rooftops, restaurants, bars, galleries, he really had the best tips of all there is to see and do in the area. He was also extremely helpful in making reservations for us, organizing trips and booking cars. As first time Cuba visitors we were lucky to have chosen this accommodation, to help us navigate the unknown in this city and country,
looking forward to returning to AS Boutique Residence again in the future.

We expected the review below, of this unfortunate, troubled guest, Adenike Onakoya (Nix O), since she has a long history of posting similar negative reviews. Of course, as always, we have provided exceptional service, even to this unreasonably demanding guest, who did not say anything about the severe room damages that she caused and who left the hotel illegally without checking out, and not paying her outstanding hotel bill. A police report has been filed, her travel agency was informed, and steps have been taken. Obviously personal issues are the problem here.

It is a matter of taste. If you want to keep European life comfort in Cuba and like minimal luxury this place is great. We stayed in Art suite. The room is super comfortable and spacious. The only thing day light doesn’t get through into the room. So you don’t understand the weather and feel the day. The ceiling is high, design is so cool, location is very good to reach everywhere by walk, breakfast is delicious.

Andre was super friendly and helpful. All restaurant recommendations they have done were very good. He gave a bottle of wine as a present for our honeymoon, very thoughtful.

Being in Cuba as a tourist is not easy, AS residence makes it easier.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, not just in Havana but anywhere.

Our host (and hotel manager) was kind, engaging and gracious.

They make the best coffee I’ve ever had and the breakfast was lovely too.

The room was clean, cool, spacious and well designed. Everything you could possibly need was provided and the common spaces like the roof terrace are well thought our and positively gorgeous.

Staying here was the highlight of our holiday, I will recommend it to anyone I know who visits Cuba and hope that one say they will expand to other locations.

Beautiful place, incredibly done and decorated. Rooms were contemporary, clean and comfortable. Andreas and Sandy were super attentive and breakfast was class. We had the most lovely end of our trip and will return.

This boutique hotel is perfectly located in the old Havana. From the reception to the rooftop, André and Sandy, the owners, have decorated this place with high taste. My stay here was nothing but amazing.

It had been more than 15 years since I visited Cuba. The most significant change is the increase (in numbers and quality) in hotels and restaurants. This makes life much more comfortable and enjoyable for tourists (in a much lesser degree for Cuban people I am afraid). It is however rare to find a place like AS Boutique Residence. This beautiful small accommodation in the heart of Havana exceeded my expectations. I stayed 6 days in AS and it was my safe haven while discovering the city. A peaceful place with all the comfort and amenities you need after a long walk in the hustle and bustle of old Havana. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Their personal attention made me immediately feel at home. I highly recommend AS Boutique Residence when you decide to visit this fascinating and unique city!

We were completely charmed by our stay at A/S Boutique Residence. The hosts, Andre and Sandy, made us feel completely at home and welcomed. Every detail of the residence is exquisite. From a healthy and delicious breakfast, to the touring and activities they offered, to dinner reservations at local establishments, they and their team went above and beyond. We highly recommend their residence and will be returning in the future!

We stayed at the AS Boutique six weeks ago, and to this day, we're still telling all our friends about this place. Andre and Sandy worked hard to create an elegant Cuban-European experience, which they've achieved using only local materials - a small miracle of you understand a bit about Cuba!
We also appreciated the fact that they employed and worked with Cubans of all ethnicities, who were all as kind and helpful as could be. Especially for my surprise birthday spread!

A true oasis in Havana. Staying there was a highlight of our Havana experience thanks to the warmth of the host, and the gorgeous, full of bi-cultural charm residence.

The location is superb, very close to points of interest for tourists in Havana Vieja, though slightly at the outskirts to feel a more local vibe in a lively neighbourhood.
Breakfast is delicious (the best coffee we've had in Cuba), Wifi access is impeccable, and the amenities are comfy with a sleek design.

Sandy was incredibly helpful and kind, giving us amazing tips to eat (the nearby restaurant/bar Jesus Maria 20 is great) and a night out. He made us feel like home and turned around our Havana experience for the best!

We will definitely stay again at AS Boutique Residence if we come back to Havana.

What a gem! A private residence with lots of style in the heart of Old Havana. AS has recently been renovated with lots of care and style and is an oasis of calm and luxury in the middle of the city. It's located just 5 minutes walk from the Plaza Viejo, but in an authentic and slightly worn part of town, we loved seeing a more real view of Havana here. Filled with art, and luxuries in both the bed room and dining experiences. Amazing coffee, fresh fruit and custom breakfasts; good WiFi; comfortable beds and fabulous bathrooms and showers... friendly, generous and helpful staff.... We would recommend AS to anyone visiting Old Havana looking for a unique design-first boutique residence.
