MILESTONES School

I had the absolute pleasure of teaching at Milestones School when arriving in Costa Rica. Milestones provides a strength-based approach with each student and fosters a classroom environment that values collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication. The education model honours individualized, hands on learning making academics, nature and individual interests a priority! The administration was very present and always willing to give a helping hand. Making meaningful connections to student learning and peer relationships was always a large focus of the Milestones program. The goal was to help students see the joy in learning and become successful life-long learners. I would highly recommend Milestones School to meet all of your alternative education needs here in Costa Rica! 🙏🏻:)

Our daughter has really thrives on the Milestones approach to learning. There’s a much more “curiosity-driven” approach rather than set rigid lessons that don’t encourage a hunger for learning.

The few times that our 5 yo has been hesitant to go into school, the teachers have been so great with making her feel safe, comfortable, and heard.

The real difference with Milestones school is that it was started by parents, is run by parents, and you can truly feel it when you’re there. It’s a safe haven of learning for kids the way a parent would want it done💕

Vittoria and Joe are every parents dream teachers. Their vast experience reflects on everyday class. They are dynamic, fun and get the kids involved in every step of the way. The class sizes are small, which allow these wonderful teachers to meet each child where they’re at, not only academically but also emotionally.
My boys absolutely loved going to their school. The hands on projects they got to work on on a daily basis got them super excited to get out of the door every morning! They called it the best school ever! The love Vittoria and Joe have for teaching, reflects on the every day life. I highly recommend them and their school!

My two kids, ages 4 and 7 loved being at Milestones. Freya was a great teacher. Everyone was welcoming and helpful! We miss it already...

Best school/ teachers ever!
Our 7 year old daughter had the best time while learning (and having fun) with Joe and Vitoria. She had a really hard time at her previous school as she is quite shy and timid. In all honesty we were a bit worried about schooling her in Costz rica and were thinking about home schooling her at first. Sending her to Milestones was the best thing we ever did.
The kid of education they provide is much different what we experienced back home in Australia and we really saw a massive difference. They really focus on each kids and make it a fun, exiting experience. She loved all the science experiments and was really looking forward to go to school everyday. They turn learning into something fun and exiting which makes a huge difference and the results are very obvious. I can’t say enough good things about Joe and Vitoria. Best school ever!

If you are looking for a wonderful, safe, and caring environment for your children to learn, play, grow and thrive, Milestones is your option! Vittoria & Joe do an incredible job of getting to know each child's interests, strengths, and development opportunities, and ensure that their days are filled with interesting activities and lessons that the children enjoy and engage in. My kids get really motivated to learn, ask, explore, and share, and I am really grateful to Joe & Vittoria for encouraging them to grow their confidence and appetite for learning!

My daughter had the best time at Milestones! The teachers are AMAZING and she loved all of the activities they did throughout the week. They did stop motion animation, played outside, a tons of other fun activities. Can’t recommend highly enough!

It's a great school!!! We love Joe and Vittoria, their smiles and the charisma they have to teach. They make everything so interesting, so kids love to learn, to ask and to explore. I love their method, their energy and their ideas to teach!!!! They offer a colorful, fun, free and relaxed space for the kids to enjoy every day and every learning!!!

What an amazing learning center this is! The teachers are super passionate and their excitement rocks your soul to the core. My two sons enjoy the facility as well. From ninja lines to individual/group activities, this place had a wide range of choices. Thank you Milestones 🥰
