Cha Cafe Tamarindo

Cha Cafe Tamarindo is an adorable place. I love the atmosphere and the lady who runs it. It is a perfect place for brunch or to gather with friends for a nice meal. Zohly, our server was so much fun. Her joy makes me want to return to be in her presence. The atmosphere was truly wonderful to the point that we finished our meal and stayed a bit longer. I ordered the surf and turf wrap (I think that is the name of the wrap). It was tasty and at a decent price. I will return soon.

Amazing vibe, welcoming mom and daughter pair that were able to give us several recommendations other restaurants to eat at while we’re in town. They told us that while we’re in Tamarindo we were welcome to stop by even just to ask for more recommendations. Best coffee we’ve had so far on our trip and they offer local beers which we had been struggling to find elsewhere. They were so so kind and even walked us next door to check out the art gallery. Will definitely return and I cannot recommend them enough!

Easy and fun atmosphere and such a lovely family that owns the cafe. Coffees were perfect and my breakfast bowl was delicious. They made my family feel like we were part of their family while we were there for spring break.

Fantastic cafe right in the heart of Tamarindo. Amazing food, reasonable prices, chill, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, eco modern decor. Visited multiple times during our two month stay, could easily go daily. Food was amazing with a healthy clean feel to it with fantastic flavour. Staff were all very friendly. Bought a surfboard there as well if you’re needing one for your visit. You could always resell it back when you leave if you like. They also have a selection of surf and unique clothing items that you don’t see at the typical tourist establishments.

Cha Cafe is amazing! The staff is genuinely nice, making you feel right at home. The food is very tasty, and you get great value for your money. The environment is just right – a perfect combo of good vibes and good eats. Highly recommend :)

I basically live here! The staff is my family and the vibe is always great. The food is so good and the coffee is even better. If there is anything wrong with my order it is no big deal to let them know, they will remake anything with smiles on their faces.

I see a poor review from USAJade below and it's unfortunate that they didn't use their words at the time of their order! Bacon can be cooked at different levels and it is pretty simple to just ask for crispy bacon to avoid this from the beginning! No one can read minds as much as we all would love to have that super power! Sounds like they wanted to have the last word and tell people how to do their jobs instead of just being happy that the staff had no problem with re-cooking the bacon more to their liking. No one likes a Karen.

The price they posted is not accurate per person since they obviously got meals for at least 3 people. There is actually a bagel/coffee combo for $8 they obviously missed on the menu which is a great deal. Would have saved them some of the money they were so upset to spend!

Cha is hands down my favorite place to work in town! I find myself there almost every day of the week! The coffee is consistently excellent, providing the fuel I need to power through my tasks. The food is nothing short of delicious, creating the perfect comfort food and coffee combo that keeps me coming back. What sets Cha apart is not just the fantastic menu, but also the friendly and welcoming staff. They make it feel like a second home, adding that extra touch to my daily routine. I ate at Cha Cafe more times than I’d like to admit while living in Tamarindo for a month. Literally everything from the food, coffee, teas, and juice were some of the freshest and tastiest I have ever had. The staff are all wonderful, always smiling and always helpful. The wifi is also amazing if you work remotely. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! I have only been gone a few weeks and think of Cha constantly, definitely a must while visiting!

The banana bread French toast is amazing plus it was served with delicious fresh fruit! The cafe has a comfortable beachy vibe and the staff is super friendly and fun! This is great place to grab a quick coffee or bite to eat or to spend the day working remotely. A definite stop when visiting Tamarindo.

Im a regular at Cha! The menu offers great value for money, and the food never disappoints. The ambiance is inviting, and the AC inside is a game-changer. Plus, the reliable internet makes it my preferred spot for work. Cha is a consistent favorite

Cha is hands down the best place to get breakfast & lunch. Reading the review below is annoying because I was literally there and the bacon is never under cooked. If you need a specific request for your food make it known and don’t be rude to the staff if they can’t read your mind. 😖 USA jade should go back to the USA if she really expects to treat staff so poorly and rudely.

We had the best experience here… the coffee was delicious and the banana bread was the best I ever had. To top it off the owners were the nicest people ever!!!! We will be back. Pura Vida!!!!

Loved the rainforest smoothie so much I went back the next day for another one! Loved the brownie and cookie too. Great little spot.

CHA has quickly become my go-to coffee and lunch stop, my remote office space, and basically my second home. The staff feels like family and the service and energy is simply unmatched. CHA delivered the need for a home-like remote work environment post-COVID, and in turn has created a lively and positive customer community. I have nothing but great things to say about this business. If you are visiting Tamarindo, let CHA be your first and last stop for fresh eats and that perfect cup of brew.

By far my favorite place in Tamarindo. This is my go to breakfast, lunch and work cafe. The staff is so friendly, the service is great, yummy coffees and delicious food.
