They have everything you need during your stay. All the employees are very friendly and will work with you if your Spanish isn’t great. They also offer free same delivery which is great. Their website is a bit difficult to navigate, but once you get a hang of it you are good to go. They also have a mini cafe right in front with tasty postres.

Coopeatenas RL is a very nice store for a small town. They have a good selection considering the size of the store and needing food for the locals and the foreigner's tastes. Super fresh veggies and fruits! The outdoor cafe area is a local meeting place with delicious coffees and snacks. The store is very clean, parking is easy, and the staff helpful and polite.

The best supermarket/grocery store in the Atenas area. Visitors/tourist be sure to stop at guard shack on the way in to get parking pass.

Our first visit. Incredible staff, service and food. All organic, gluten-free menu, that was just delicious from their scratch kitchen. It was definitely a Pura Vida experience, start to finish. We will be back. 🙏

Seems to be the place to do your food shopping in Atenas, Costa Rica. Excellent service, good selection of food and groceries. Fresh produce is excellent. People are friendly and helpful. It helps, though, if you speak some Spanish.

Nice, clean and bright grocery store. You will have to go through a gate and get the pass to park just turn it in when you leave. US money is accepted just know your conversions...
there are English speaking staff but it would be helpful to you to know some Spanish. Very helpful staff. You’re not in the US so expect there to be differences in the way things are presented or kept. Nice butcher meats selection. Vegetables, and frozen. It’s just like a US grocery store.
The bakery has very good Cinnamon Rolls!

Best supermarket in Atenas with lots of covered parking! Clean, bright, friendly. Large produce section and a meat department which even offers great chicharrones made fresh daily (except Sundays). The store is well stocked with a wide selection, and they are adding more imported items for the expat customers. And they do now have an in store bakery, so fresh baguettes daily. On Wednesdays they have ‘feria’ pricing with everything a little cheaper.

I really appreciate this store, wide aisles, good lighting, great selection, reasonable prices, and friendly employees. And an ice cream for 500c what's not to like, oh and lots of parking. My gluten free and vegan daughter came down last year and no problem getting food for her.
Try that at the other markets!

I enjoyed coming here to get snacks and groceries with my parents when I visited Atenas. They have great food and snacks, I wish I could find the products that they carry in America. Cant wait to come back to visit! They have a nice cafe and outdoor sitting area for you to enjoy coffee and food as well

The store is large and has a very good selection. Produce is eye appealing. Unfortunately I asked for flax seed and had none. Will frequent on a regular basis.

I don't believe that you will find a better full service market in Atenas than this establishment.Just a football field sized fully stocked and professionally run and maintained super store.I love everything about this business.You will not be disappointed in the selection or the value when shopping here.Mainstream USA could take lessons from these friendly folks.

Clean and peaceful business. Staff is very professional and friendly. When I arrived, I was surprised to find they had a door person inside opening the door and greeting each customer that was entering the store. Only in Atenas Costa Rica.

Easy parking good prices.

It's the best, most modern, biggest variety of items in Atenas. One of the highlights is an outdoor hangout for cakes, coffee, expresso. Sandwiches, homemade tamales. You are guaranteed to see lots of people you know. It is however, very expensive.

A great shopping experience from the welcoming outdoor cafe to the friendly and helpful staff to the best selection of fresh meats, vegetables and food selection in Atenas. Don't forget to stop by the hardware store at the back of the parking lot for all of your yard and gardening needs.

This is my primary supermarket. Usually 2 or 3 trips a week. For small things I will go to the three small stores near my house.

Excellent supermarket in Atenas. We do almost all of our regular weekly shopping there. Note that prices are uniformly discounted 10% on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Has a nice coffee shop outside with free wi-fi.
