La Tortillería Alajuela

I loved everything about this place. To start, the place is decorated as a true Costa Rican typical restaurant. It was a very hot day, but the ventilation in the place was very good so we were fine.

The food was amazing. I got gallo pinto with pork chops, cas juice and coffee. Everything tasted great.

I got something called gallos...plus a black coffee I had to manually brew myself. It was deadly awesome. I absolutely 💯 ♥ recommend this "Soda" that's how we Costa Ricans call small restaurants. 👏 they are fabulous.

Great spot for breakfast, and VERY close to airport! Delicious food, great coffee and great prices. Can’t go wrong here. Felt like the quality of restaurant you’d find in a hotel, but there’s no hotel. Check it out.

We liked this place so much, we were there 3 times!
It's a fresh, open-space and bright place with very delicious Costa Rican food. Their highlight is that they serve all dishes over a plate-sized tortilla which is totally delicious be prepared for big size meals. Prices are fair for the product, ranging from 4 to 8 dollars for a meal. The cheese-filled tortilla and the Gallo pinto (picture) are very tasty. Staff is helpful and can speak English. Nice view over a city Square.

We popped into La Tortilleria on our last day in Costa Rica and had the best coffee and breakfast of our entire trip. Come with an appetite.

One of the best seafood restaurants in my experiences. The food is great and the wait person continued to check on us without being intrusive, which is not typical in Costa Rica. A very pleasant evening and I would like to return soon..
