Gracia At Mar Vista

There is something magical happening at Gracia at Mar Vista. It starts with the breathtaking sunset and continues through every course of Chef Frankie’s tasting menu. To say the experience at Gracia is special doesn’t do it justice- Everything from the creative cocktails to the inspired cuisine and wine pairing is excellent without being pretentious. The view is gorgeous and the service is very attentive without being stuffy. The vibe Frankie and Stephanie have created is not easily replicated. You somehow feel like both a guest and also like family. The atmosphere enhances the food and the food tastes like love. Don’t go if you are in a hurry- it deserves to be savored.

It was my first time here and we got a special chiefs tasting as well as wine paring. To start I had a nice drink by the pool and watched the sunset, by far the best sunset I’ve ever witnessed. Once we sat down for dinner we were greeting by the chief with our first glass of wine. All of the wines paired amazing with the food and the food was 10x better. It was truly the best meal / experience of my life. 100% worth the money please do yourself a favor and try it!

We visit Costa Rica 3-4 times a year and this is probably our favorite restaurant in the country, especially if you can make it in the green season when it's less crowded. We come here every time we're in the area.

It's located in the Mar Vista Residential Community but still open to the public. Just tell the guard at the security gate you're going to Gracia and he'll let you through. He may ask for your ID so be sure to have it ready.

The restaurant has an infinity pool for you to enjoy while you dine. It's fairly quiet in the day but get's busy at sunset. Make a reservation in the high season because it fills up quickly and walk-ins are often turned away.

The food and service are excellent. They offer a good selection of appetizers and also some larger main dishes. We always opt for more flavors and get 4-5 small plates. The bacon wrapped dates and poke are some of out favorites, but we've never had a bad bite.

On our second visit, we got to our car only to realize our battery had died. Luis went above and beyond to help us jump the car so we could make it back to our condo. We've since seen him on multiple visits and he always remembers us. Another shout out to Kevin for his warm welcomes and good vibes.

We've only had two service fails in our 6+ visits, funny enough only when ordering chiliguaro shots. Both times the staff handled it well and we look forward to being back there in a few months.

Gracia at Mar Vista is hands down one of the most captivating places I've ever been to. The view alone is enough to leave you breathless, and the infinity pool is simply incredible. The staff is exceptional, and the food is out of this world.

Whether you're looking to unwind with some delectable drinks and mouthwatering cuisine or you have the little ones in tow, you'll find that everyone is warm and welcoming. You could easily spend an entire day there, enjoying every moment.

If you're planning to take a dip, there is a nominal entrance fee that is promptly applied towards your bill if you decide to indulge in their remarkable fare. I believe we paid around $10 per person, which is a small price to pay for the gastronomic delights that await.

I wholeheartedly recommend Mar Vista if you happen to find yourself in the vicinity. It is truly a hidden gem that should not be missed.

Last day of our holiday suprise!!! Amazing infinity pool with a great view and bar. Super family friendly, waiters are taking real good care of the guest. Your glass is never empty, which did inflate the bill;) :)

The restaurant has a beautiful infinity pool that we used before dinner. The food and drinks are great as well. We liked the passion fruit mojito, marlin ceviche and the shrimp tapas.

After a fantastic experience at Gracia La Vid, we had to try their other restaurant at Mar Vista. The owners and their staff raised the bar even higher during this culinary experience. After watching a stunning sunset over the ocean, we thoroughly enjoyed selections from the chef’s tasting menu. Everything we had was phenomenal and carefully crafted. The chef’s passion is evident in every dish. The menu has a variety of options for every palate and prices are extremely reasonable. Best food we’ve found during our stay in Guanacaste and Gracia’s hospitality was unforgettable.

Kevin the host was really great, the service very attentive and fun. Frankie the owner stopped by and was the nicest guy! We had @8 different tapas and they were all a hot with me, my wife, and our girls 13 and 15. Pool is refreshing and sunset doesn't disappoint! If going for pool then dinner make sure you have reservations! They get crazy busy!

We decided to check out Gracia because we are renting a vacation house in Mar Vista and I’m so glad we did!! Food and service are excellent and it’s a beautiful place to catch the sunset. We’ve been for both lunch and dinner ordering lots of tapas and mains. Everything has been so tasty! Mocktails are great and we appreciate a fancy non-alcoholic option!

Beautiful vistas, well appointed outdoor restaurant, friendly and attentive staff (including the owners), great farm-to-table food and fantastic drinks. An absolute gem! Only frustration is discovering them on the last day of the trip! Pro tip: make reservations and give yourself an opportunity to return while on the same vacation!

Amazing organic farm to table experience. Wide variety of selections to meet everyone's palete and everything was delicious! Awesome craft cocktails with a local twist. The sunset views are some of the best in the area. Just look at their instagram for the photos.

Gracia is amazing. Best place in the area by far, great drinks, even better food - the tapas are to die for. The staff are incredibly friendly and Frankie is wonderful. great pool if you’re here for lunch, the view is unreal 24/7. Couldn’t recommend enough

Absolutely beautiful view with such an amazing atmosphere. A must visit restaurant! Kids had a blast in the pool while the adults could comfortably eat our food and enjoy our drinks. Loved it! 👌

Frankie and his entire team were one of the highlights of my trip. The hospitality, the warmth, THE FOOD, the atmosphere… as restaurant people from Chicago, I cannot recommend them enough. The care and intention with ingredients, how they’re sourced and put together will live happily in my head forever. We were lucky enough to experience a tasting menu and I highly recommend doing that if you’re ready to eat and see what they’re all about.
You must try the wicked Cajun bbq shrimp. Woah

Beautiful place. Great service and excellent food, at a reasonable price. They have a pool that kids love
