They are always very helpful. They are willing to get on the phone with your workman, a person who speaks english, or to see a picture. They will try to understand your spanish or read the translation on your phone.

The "waiting your turn" is a little weird all over Costa Rica. They don't ask if they can help you, you must walk right up to them. But, if you walk right up to them a little to confident they will make you wait a moment or ignore you for a minute. It's a weird culture thing here in Costa Rica, I see it in other stores. After three years I haven't quite figured it out exactly yet. But, once they are helping you, the service is 100%.

You can usually find what you want but there is a little "hit miss" there, as in all stores in CR. Often, if they don't have it their location in Huacas does and vice versa.

Their prices are high so if you are headed to Santa Cruz or Liberia and can wait, you should. But, they will also give you a 10% discount for just asking and there is also a discount for cash.

Comaco is a good hardware store closed by usually well stockec
