Awesome tico dive bar. Pretty much on the beach. Ice cold beer. Great michelada.

Pablitos is a typical Tico soda except that it is in a campground on one of the best beaches in Costa Rica.

I have always felt Pablitos is one of the most authentic experiences and meals I've had visiting the country. Now that I live here more often, I still make Pablitos a weekly lunch on the beach.

While the whole fish (pargo) is great, the ribs are my favorite. So juicy and bursting with flavor. Don't be sad the salad comes without dressing, just squeeze your limon on it and ask for the salsa. It will show up in a slightly concerning reused plastic bottle but have no fear, it is amazing and I've survived it for years now, without incident.

After lunch, walk it off with a leisurely stroll down Cangrejal beach.

Soup's been good for over a decade, beer never changes. I appreciate this place and have been happy to enjoy their food several on many occasions. One of the great long running businesses in Sámara.

Totally local bar with great little bocas to be had. Great place to practice your Spanish. This is NOT a tourist hang out.

Deliciosas boquita gratis acompañadas con cada cerveza, la atención bien rápida y frente al mar, la rocola super divertida. Bar de pueblo son los mejores.
