I have tried several sodas and this one is my favorite! We ordered the fish and chicken casado and a papaya smoothie. The food was fresh and they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions (gluten free, no onion or garlic). The service friendly and quick. affordable prices, highly recommend!

Great service. Huge portions. Delicious food. Great ambiance. We ordered the arroz con comarons and the fish filet casado. Both were beyond our expectations.

Cute little restaurant with good food at good value.

I had the Casado Vegetariano. It had a big serving of stir-fried veggies in addition to rice, beans, plantain, and a small serving of a potato dish. The veggies were perfectly tender-crisp. An inexpensive, quick, and tasty place to eat out in Playa Carillo. Ambiance is not elegant but the place was delightfully simple.

The waitress does not seem to her day (no smile) but we left the bistro very satisfied. Cold beer, great juicy chicken with rice, awesome salsa and amazing beans for a reasonable price. Good stop.

Ok- this Soda is hands down the best in the area- Samara included. The portions are hefty and deliciously prepared. You will find family-run hospitality throughout your experience. Clean and efficient is how I would describe the operation. Try it out for yourself and experience some value here in CR. Anything you order here will impress your party.

Definitely give this local spot a try if you're staying in Carrillo. Great value and local vibe. Recommend the casados, ceviche, and the rice with shrimp.

We stayed at Nammbu hotel. Soda was a small local restaurant near our hotel. I have to say it was the Best Place I have eaten in my whole trip in costaricca. The whole fried fish and ricewithchicken were fantastic. Definitely worth trying it.

Delicious casado and arroz! La Plaza is an excellent, affordable lunch stop on the drive from La Fortuna to Monteverde. They were super welcoming and accommodating, despite our minimal Spanish. One of the best sodas we tried across 10 days in Costa Rica.
