Restaurante El Coyote

We had a Valentine’s Day dinner here. The staff is very friendly and the food and drinks were amazing. We ordered the filet minion and had a margarita.

Authenticity at it's best! The Restaurant looks quite basic and a little old, but that's actually charming! The three Ladies are unique and the food is really good! We celebrated the birthday of our son there and had a very nice evening with a lot of storys to tell. We are highly recommending the Coyote!!

Best food we’ve had in CR so far. The seafood was wonderful, fresh and cooked with great spices. The ladies were so funny and kind and helped with our atrocious Spanish. Wish we had discovered earlier!!! Other guests were leaving as we came in and told us we were in for a treat.

Very authentic local restaurant. We both had a Mahi Mahi dish. I had with shrimp and sauce and my wife had with a spinach sauce. The roasted vegetables were perfect. We will definitely eat there again.

I can't say enough about this place and honestly 5 stars is to low as the food, service and value is worth a 10 stars. If you're in the area and you don't eat hrre you're totally missing the best of Costa Rica. My wife and i ate here every night we could! Try the lobster, literally the freshest I've ever had!!

The best lobster I’ve ever had anywhere. Love this place and the ladies Marianna and Janet are great hosts. Marianna makes the best cocktails in town!

We had magical experiences at El Coyote.
Firstly I’d like to the say the review below that starts by calling the restaurant ‘primitive’ is a pretty ignorant viewpoint and couldn’t be more different to our experience. It’s a quirky little spot, clean, nice vibe. Very warm and welcoming.
The maitre d is a friendly, larger than life host, the small team seem like family and there’s a real community feel.
We went 3 times during our stay, the food is amazing. Fairly priced, generous & beautifully cooked.
I’m actually vegan and my partner eats fish. They made me special off menu dishes each night.. all delicious.
Be sure to go by 6pm.. and don’t go hungry. We waited an hour each time for our food, which was fine because that’s just the way it is there, just be sure to go before you want to eat.
There are very limited tables so go early to try to get one. Or go early in the day & book a table. A gem in the area! Wish we could go there more often.

The owner Mariana is extremely kind and funny! Food is delicious. We got ourselves in a sticky situation by flooding our car in a massive puddle and she opened her restaurant for us after closing hours along with finding us all the support needed to get the car up and running again. The salsa camarones is one of the most incredible meals we had in Costa Rica, highly recommend!!!!! Thank you Mariana for the hospitality!!

One of the best seafood rice I ever had! So much flavor and fresh seafood, even lobster! Definitely going back if we are in the neighborhood again to try more dishes and chat with the ladies! Maybe not the most beautiful exterior but we had a very nice time, we felt like eating at our grandma's house!

One of the best meals we had in Samara! We had the fish special and pork ribs - both very fresh and delicious. Suggest getting the salsa verde on the fish - it's a rich, buttery, herb sauce.

We went here with our local friends and didn't know what to expect. The food was outstanding the drinks were great and these two ladies are wonderful! A must try if you are near here!

The owners of the El Coyote are amazing 😍 food fresh and delicious 😋 from steak to patacones , fish, lobster and delicious burgers , atmosphere like home. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in the greater Samara area. Don't let is modest exterior fool you the quality of the food is excellent! I've tried the ceviche, the fried chicken and the casado with steak. All have been fantastic. The ceviche is fresh made so if your in a hurry you'll have to wait as it takes between 10 to 20 minutes depending on how busy they are. But is worth the wait. I wake up the next day thinking about how much I enjoyed it and when I can have it again.

Great place, absolutely magical. We had much fun there, there are not many places in this world like El Coyote. The food is also awesome! Greetings to the ladies!
