We really enjoyed our dinner here! Delicious Costa Rican coastal cuisine, friendly waitstaff and a family atmosphere next to the farmer's market. We tried the small pescado ceviche (sundae glass size), pescado casado, pescado con salsa limón and kid's pan fried chicken fingers meal. They were able to make our meals gluten friendly. We will likely be back to try more dishes tomorrow!

We enjoyed a fabulous seafood feast here while in Samara. All the dishes were fresh and perfectly prepared. There was four of us so we each ordered dishes and shared among us. There was leftovers that we couldn't finish and took home. Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this place.

This place is phenomenal! The food was fresh and delicious. The server was super accommodating and happy to modify for me, as I'm Celiac and cannot eat gluten. He was able to tell me exactly where the gluten was in the meal and what they would do to modify. I had the octopus and wish I could come back to try everything else!

I just had an outstanding dinner the seafood was fresh the pasta was perfect and the white sauce was Is just right . Highly recommended it's a quiet spot with excellent food and remarkable pricing.

This place was phenomenal! If you’re looking for a comfortable quiet outdoor restaurant in Samara, this is your spot. Highly recommend the pulpo al ajo (garlic octopus). I LOVE octopus, but I’ve never had it prepared with this much flavor! Cooked to perfection.

HIDDEN GEM! After over a year of combined time in Costa Rica I can honestly say that this place has the best ceviche mixto I’ve eaten in the country. Definitely the best in Samara, but I haven’t found anything like it up and down the pacific and Caribbean coastlines, and most certainly not inland. Still reasonably priced, all of the dishes here are good. My family and I always look forward to visiting Colochos every time we are here. It’s no frills, and sometimes the hours are weird, but do yourself a favor and stop in.

Walked by on Saturday night to hear some live acoustic music, sadly came back on Sunday and no live music. We only had their fish casado for $5000. but it was quite good. They actually sell fresh fish and shrimp at the Saturday market so the freshness is there. They serves a delicious piece of mahi mahi.

Best ceviche in playa Samara! Incredible quality and taste. One if the best I’ve had in Costa Rica..they used a largo fish that day..not over marinated nor too much onion/Chili flavor. Great value as well. Check out the Saturday morning market next door if possible.

Best meal I've had in Costa Rica so far (it was the first meal I had in Samara, but I was in Tamarindo for three weeks beforehand). The casado con filet de pescado was so beautifully made, fresh, and delicious. Also a huge portion! Service was great and friendly. I will definitely be going back.

While a little slow, it was so worth the wait. My wife and I had the seafood pasta, a ceviche, and black beans and it was simply superb.

Never judge a book for his cover, it could seems a small restaurant but is huge in flavors, really traditional place with great dishes

Great low key seafood restaurant in Samana. Had the fish filet Casado and it was very flavorful. Would definitely recommend.

A good place for an affordable lobster splurge! Two sharing the four lobster halves and an appetizer would be perfecto.

Pretty awesome spot for ceviche! The mixto came in a massive bowl with some patacones on the side and was very good. Wife got arroz con vegetales and was not impressed. The fries that came with it were pretty bad too. But this isn’t what you come here for. Just get the ceviche and you’ll go home happy!
