Sabor de la Montaña

Family of four, including two children, arrived on an early August late afternoon, 45 minutes before sunset. No one else was at the restaurant. Needless to say the views are stunning and worth the drive up from Samara through 30 minutes of mountain dirt roads.

As other reviewers have said, the views are the attraction but the drinks and food served alongside were the best since leaving La Fortuna.

From the hammock and swinging chairs, the chirping birds, howling monkeys, delicious food and drinks with very reasonable prices along with the sun slowly plunging into the sea over the course of our meal - this is one of those experiences we will remember forever.

Food was good and first and last time in Costa Rica actually a big size. Worth the money!

The view is amazing and unique. Bring sunscreen and a lot patience (and perhaps a spare tire) for the way up. It’s 11 kilometers on an stony dirt road. Still absolutely worth it!

Came for the views but the food was just as good! Big portions, really reasonable prices, multiple vegan options.

Delicious meals, polite friendly gracious service, and an unparalleled view! It's a bumpy drive, but so worth it! Three vegan meal options. Vegan Especial, vegan tacos, and pasta with vegetables can be vegan. All were delicious. Plus the patacones are the best! Don't miss this very special place!

There is nothing better. Food is so good. Amazing view. Very friendly. Visited twice in 3 days. Will probably be back before we leave.

We had a fabulous dinner. Everything was fresh and well prepared in the brick oven. The pizza was amazing, and we really enjoyed everything. Best ceviche. They have a limited but good selection of wine as well.

The view was amazing, and we loved that the family was there. We can not wait to try the coffee you grow in the morning. We will be back.

Amazing experience in the middle of nowhere, with amazing fresh food and cocktails! We enjoyed the best sunset during in our one month vacation in Costa Rica! The place you have to visit if you are in Nosara!

I was skeptic for all latest reviews, but the food is amazing! Great drinks. Kids healthy food choices. Road is bad, but the food and views are gorgeous! Will recommend this place as will come back!

All the food was amazing. The lobster 🦞 was pretty good looking. The Pork chop was fabulous. Burguer and salad were very tasty 😋.
The most important thing was the view I can't imagine a sunset 🌇 from there.
Definitely a must go. Very remote but it is worth it and they accept credit cards💳

Always delish. Take the drive, enjoy the views & stay awhile once you arrive. The food is yummy, especially the ceviche, pizza and pescado dishes. The desserts are also great (banana flambeau). Bring a deck of cards, stay awhile and watch the world go by.

This may be the most beautiful restaurant I have ever visited. The view is so stunning, I would have been satisfied if the food were just OK - but the food was fantastic as well!! It was fresh, delicious, and the menu had a wide variety of dishes. My girlfriend had the lobster, which was a super generous portion and very fresh, and I had the vegan platter (I'm vegetarian) which was super delicious as well. It is well worth the drive for this unique experience!!

You have to eat here! The biggest hidden gem restaurant. Deep in the mountains with a miraculous view of the mountains and ocean. Even better is the food. I’ll be back!

The scenic view at this resturant is gorgeous! The staffs and owner is super friendly. And to tip it off, the food is amazingly reasonable, given the quality of seafood they have. I ordered a camarones de rio, and the shrimp is right from the river, which is super fresh and organic. I would definitely recommend this place and it's high up in the mountains. My friend and I stopped here after our quad trip. And I am just super happy after finishing a good lunch meal.
