Food was fresh and delicious. Service was superb. One of the owners (they’re 2 brothers from Peru) came and chatted to us and gave us some local tips and history etc. Very friendly and welcoming and seems to know all the locals.

We’ve now returned 2 more times. We loved every dish we tried but the ultimate winner for me was the Mountain Range chicken.

Delicious food and really local friendly atmosphere! We found ourselves coming back here for dinner 3 consecutive nights. We tried their fish chicken and beef! Nothing disappointed us. Finally the PASSIONFRUIT CHEESECAKE…. Out of this world!

My husband and I came here last night and enjoyed our meal so much that we came back. There are not many restaurants in the area; our hotel has a restaurant, but this is much better!

Last night, I had the fish with shrimp sauce and hubs had the ribeye special. Both were excellent! My fish was cooked perfectly and the ribeye was rare, as requested.

The service is great and the owner welcoming! This place is popular with tourists and locals for a reason!

Incredible food! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food deserves Michelin stars. Nice owners and sweet dogs. Will return before we leave this area. Family of 4 ate for 65.00 usd a beer and a mixed drink with a tip.

The food is excellent, you never think if you just look it from outside. The owner is from Peru, they have food from Peru, too. If you come from the way from San Juanillo beach worth stopping here for a dinner.

Really appreciated this Peruvian / Costa Rican restaurant El Jardin for staying open for us when we arrived late last week. The food is really fresh and tasty. We had the vegetarian Casado dish which was a mix of veggies with rice and beans and a side salad. They also had fresh watermelon juice too which was delicious!

Wow, the reviews were right — the ceviche and ribeye were amazing. Definitely eating here everytime I’m in San Juanillo! *chefs kiss*

Stopped in for a quick bite and the food was amazing. Pescado de Limona was fresh and so flavorful. All around a great place for lunch.

Don't get fooled by the simple appearance of this place, the food is absolutley outstanding and the prices are very faire. Also super friendly staff. Highly recommend to taste the seafood/fish dishes.

We spent 8 days in 3 different locations and out of all the meals we ate, this restaurant had by far the most amazing dishes and exquisite flavors. Alizon, the head chef, is amazing and the most down to earth and kind person. I would have eaten every dinner here if I had the chance! The fish dishes were amazing. Probably the best fish I have ever eaten. So worth it! I agree with the Michelin star review!

My wife and me went for dinner to that recommend place by friends. Honestly, the rib eye steak and fish tacos where super delicious! We will come for sure again and we totally recommend the El Jardin! Great value for money!

Some of the best food and service in town! Everything we have tried has been amazing, especially the shrimp ceviche and the fish main courses. The people are what make it extra special though. They are so kind and welcoming.

Simply delicious. We ate there 3 times during our stay and got something different each time. Everything tastes amazing and fresh. Rib eye and the fish sandwich stand out in particular.

The former chef from Marbella Tiki Hut started this place. For is good, drinks are amazing!! Best cadillac margaritas around!

Best Peruvian food in Costa Rica. Family run, and super loving.

The red snapper is delicious, and the ceviche is perfect. Environment makes you feel at home, great place to escape from the heat.

This is the best restaurant I've been to in Costa Rica. The food is so amazing. Not expensive. Staff is Peruvian/costa Rican and so knowledgeable about the area. Fantastic experience. Highly recommend. ----- from a Seattle area resident.

This is a really wonderful place. We caught them the day after NYE so there were some 86’d items in the menu but the staff was lovely and the owner from Peru and knocked my socks off with a beautiful Pisco Sour. Don’t pass on this place if you’re in San Juanillo

Very good food, food took along time to prepare. But worth the wait. Only issue was a pitbull dog was in the restaurant another dinners dog and tried to attack my small child. Very scary situation.
