Have had 3 boards from Che Boards now, a noserider and a mid off the rack and a fun custom fat fish. They have also expertly restored a beloved (and well used) Robert August Wingnut. Their boards ride amazingly and construction quality and details are excellent. The best shaper and shop in CR. Also, all of the staff that have assisted me are really helpful and knowledgeable which starts off the process on a nice note. Very easy to recommend these guys if you’re looking for a board.

Very cool shop! The staff are super helpful and accommodating. They have a bunch of demo boards you can borrow for the day (for free) if you want to try out their selection of boards. Great apparel inspired by local artists and other surf shop essentials

Even if you don't know what you are looking for, come to this shop. They will help you find exactly what works for you. Their custom boards are beautiful, functional, and friggen durable. We have also rented boards, fins, leashes, etc.. from here because the quality is top notch. Also, check out the shop for some custom coasters, shirts, and even furniture. Great place to order a new board.

my husband and i ordered two custom noseriders from cheboards and i cannot put the quality of both their customer service and the finished products into words. we are over the moon about our two beautiful boards. they even helped us getting them over the boarder to nicaragua and were always super responsive whenever i had any question or request. after giving them our initial design ideas, instead of just blindly doing what we were saying, they went out of their way to give us helpful tips on how to achieve the best possible finish on our boards. this will definitely be our go-to for more boards in the future. thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us. you guys rock!

I ordered a new Robert August custom board from Cheboards. The team was very responsive, helpful and easy to work with. My board was absolutely beautiful. They helped me get everything I needed e.g. fins, leash, board bag, etc.

They have it all - museum style showroom, talented shaper, A+ customer service, wide selection of boards, custom creations, and some epic shapes!! Just gotta add salt water 👌. JD has shaped a couple boards for me and need more!!

I just bought my first board ever and I couldn't have chosen a better place than Cheboards! All the staff is super friendly and helpful and they definitely know what they're talking about. They have different demo boards which you can easily borrow. We could even take a look at the factory to see all the different colours/styles they have.
So if you're in Costa Rica and you're looking for a board - go to Cheboards!!
