Fenix Beach Cartagena

I didn’t stay in the hotel but my friends and I brought a package at our hotel. It included the round trip boat ride from the Cartagena city center. It’s a quick trip on the speed boat. The food was great- great portion size and they asked us when we’d like to eat- all of our food came at that time- hot and fresh. The drinks were great- we ordered a few rounds each. Spent most of our day here from 11:30-4:30. They have a nice area for photos on a swing (not pictured). Service was great and the beach chairs were comfortable. There’s a nice pool as well- beach is nice and the DJ was top notch. Probably the best beach experience my entire trip and the total cost was around 76 USD per person- pretty good value.

Truly gorgeous and their staff was super kind and authentic! We had many great conversations and felt well taken care of! My only issue is with the villas- at least with ours, the mini splitter/AC in the upstairs didn't really work and the windows don't open so the upstairs rooms were quite hot. Otherwise a totally magical experience.

We arranged a day trip from Cartagena, and we were glad we did! The whole experience was seamless and very enjoyable. We pre-booked on their website. The boat to the beach leaves from Puerta 1 (furthest from the walled city exit). The check-in was easy, and the boat trip was quick but super fun. At Fenix, we were shown our spot on the beach (and were given an option of several spots to choose from). The service, food, and cocktails (extra) were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea. It was quite windy, so we didn't try kayaks, which they also offer for extra price. The first row of beds was cooler but breezier. The last row was less windy, but also much hotter. One note - the boat docks at the island are much higher than the boat, so getting out was a little challenging. The staff was super helpful though, so just something to be aware of for people with limited mobility.

Beautiful clean beach just ten minutes across the bay. I did not stay the night, was only there as a day trip. But a fun and easy trip. Great beach food and quality service too. I’d definitely go back

Very nice experience. Beach is nice, but watch out for the rocks in the water at the beach. The fried fish is delicious.

We did a day trip to Fenix and it was phenomenal! Jacobo arranged everything from hotel to pier transportation and ensured we had a great experience. Katy was our cabana hostess and she was so sweet and attentive throughout the day. We couldn’t say enough positive things about this great experience!

We chose Fenix Beach as our wedding venue, and it was amazing! The beachfront property and backdrop to Cartagena was the perfect canvas for the destination wedding we envisioned. The space was ample, food was fantastic and the staff was amicable and very attentive. We had the entire hotel to ourselves and boy was that a good time! Rooms were comfortable and while we later heard from guests that some lacked mirrors, hot water and good lighting, everyone continued to rave about what a great time they had!

We will definitely be back and we know some of our guests are already planning to return!

I did not expect to find a place like this in Cartagena. The boat ride from the walled city is only 10 to 15 minutes. And you get a beautiful island where Fenix hotel is. I loved the rooms, the service and the vibe of the hotel. I would come back, loved the place.

Amazing beach, beautiful views, great food and drinks. Louis the waiter was so lovely. We had a horse ride and bought some bracelets. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!xxx

Beach Day excursions option through hotel planner..bit pricey could have gone to the local beach free and had the same experience. Complimentary drink was a hot Corona. Atmosphere was good drink orders came pretty steady. Lunch was included through package deal whole fried fish. Slaw and coconut rice frie plantains live DJ. Covered laying areas outdoor Bathroom/shower areas kinda gross and smelly but held its purpose .

A great low-key beach less than 20 boat right. Amazing food, drinks and music. You have access to jet-ski’s and shaded cabanas. The customer service was top notch.

This was our first trip to Colombia and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fenix.

We stayed for 3 nights. The staff work really hard to create a relaxed and comfortable environment. They are friendly and attentive.

The beach setup was also very nice compared to other hotel options on the island.

The food is excellent. The ceviche is a must-try, but we liked it all. While prices were more costly here than other parts of the country, they are still very reasonable if you are coming from Canada or the U.S.

The only cons are the lack of hot water in the shower (but hey, it’s an island) and it is a bit challenging to find drinking water. Considering bringing drinks with you if you can.

This place exceeded our expectations - They food was delicious, staff were attentive, their rooms were spacious, comfy and clean. The private pool villas were a great treat!

This is the best beach experience that you can possibly have close to cartagena, you can go and back in 10 minutes, instead you will have to take a boat to the island rosario and that will take you atleast two hours of your day, easy access plus you have the possibility to stay for dinner even if you have the daytour they have boats at different times of the day, the music it's great they have dj and dance.

We spent 3 nights here and it was the perfect place to lounge on the beach or by the pool and just relax.

10 mins boat ride from Cartagena port. Beautifully decorated venue with sun beds and restaurant seats. Food was great with various options from salads, seafoods and meats. Visited here with a package purchase for half day and the price was reasonable. For the day time, recommended for family / couples. For the evening, good for couples surrounded by dimmed lights and fireworks.

Beautiful view, very calm, eco friendly place. The rooms are cozy, very clean. I love the fact that there are vegan options in the restaurant menu and the food is fresh and delicious. Perfect place to get away from the routine.

This is a piece of paradise just a few minutes by boat from cartagena. The perfect place to get away from everything and relax. The food, ambience and customer service are superb. THE BEST THING OF ALL is that this is also an animal haven where dogs and cats roam freely and are treated with love and respect!!!! We need more places like this for sure!!!!
