Almirante Cartagena Hotel

Nice hotel, but for a 5 star hotel they wont even offer you a cup of coffe after dinner. I had to psy 4,000 col for a coffe. Room service needs to improve. One day you'll have towel to shower with and the next day you wont have any. Lobby service excellent.

This hotel was very clean and accommodating. Many of the staff speak English with you are not comfortable or able to speak in Spanish. If you want to be in the midst of the restaurant and entertainment district, this is a place to stay. The drawback is the noise. Party buses go past continuously until about 11:00 p.m. and the music from the restaurants can also be heard at times.
It's necessary to take a taxi to the historical center and most attractions, but the fares are very low.

Hotel is beautiful ! As soon as you walk in you are greeted with the wonderful scent of tropical flowers and a stunning bouquet. Location is great, safe to walk in the area as well. Martin with the curly hair was very very helpful and had great recommendations. We booked our tours through the travel agency located in hotel (Space 8 - there are two, first one you see - skip lol - pricing and service is inferior to the one at space 8). The rooms were extremely comfortable and temp controlled. Views of Cartagena beaches were stunning especially from the rooftop pool, one feature I loved about the pool is that it’s not super deep and the shallow section is separated by a small metal gate which makes it less likely to accidentally end up in the “deeper” end. Gym is huge and great to use - multiple rooms and plenty of space. Air port pickup and drop off makes it very easy. Only thing was the food there is not that great taste wise, breakfast buffet has a lot of options but I did not really find anything particularly good - thankfully there are TONS of food places within a short walking distance. Shops are a little overpriced inside. They have awesome lounges, a pool table and darts near the bar. Also a casino attached. Overall the hotel is great, clean and comfortable in an excellent location.

Location was the best part if this hotel only like 10-5 min taxi ride from the old city in the middle of downtown places to walk. The room itself was very roomy and pretty clean, nice view of the ocean. Pool was a bit too small, crowded and a little dirty music they played at the pool was so loud my ears were ringing after we left the area. The staff themselves were very nice/friendly and amazing. The hotel stay included free unlimited breakfast buffet which had delicious options.

Oustandinging hotel righ on the beach. Very clean large rooms with super cold A/C. Beautiful view of beach and skyline. Awsome breakfast that's included in the price. The entire staff was awesome and extremely courteous. I highly recommend this hotel due to all the above and the excellent price.

Me and my wife really enjoyed the service at this hotel. Everything from the taxi service ( they actually give you a receipt) , to the superb breakfast , and friendly staffs at the bar area. There is so much to say about this hotel.

Me and my wife had our destination wedding here, coming from the USA. The event coordinator was very friendly, tried to accommodate us financially and with our special requests. Our reception was outside at the pool area, closed off for us until 1:00am. The food was excellent, the photobooth was perfect, and the CRAZY hour was very fun. They gave us a free night in a special suite with ocean side view. When we came to sleep that wedding night, the hotel set us up with rose petals with candles on the ground, flowers everywhere, chocolate covered strawberries, and fruits. This hotel def made our night super special and we really appreciate that.

Also, the hair stylist and crew were on point and we thank them so much for their patience and kindness. This hotel can do everything and anything you need. We even had my suit and wife's wedding dress cleaned.

This is by far one the of the best hotels in Cartagena. The staff is very nice, attentive, and helpful. Rooms are very clean and the room service is amazing. Location is also great because you have the beach nearby that is walking distance and plenty of restaurants walking distance as well.

The hotel is a little old, but very nice, rooms are very clean and comfy, great location near the best part of the beach in Boca grande, there are nice restaurants near by.

This is a great hotel, I loved everything about it. The hotel has a significant perfume that you can smell on every floor. Its a elegant hotel with cleaning everyday of your room. Everything works great. Also if your not good at speaking spanish they have representatives that speak english

This hotel is amazing! The views spectacular, food is great and staff are incredibly attentive. You get treated like royalty. Location is perfect. Tons of top notch restaurants and excellent shopping. I am travelling alone and feel safe & at home. Love Cartagena ❤

The hotel is great, the staff is very polite and nice. The room we stayed at had a decent view, was organized and clean. Room service was great and the facilities in the hotel were clean and good.

I wasn't a guest; however, my wife did use their spa service.
She was very pleased with thr service in general and also with the courtesy of all the staff including spa reception and spa staff.
We will use them again in our next trip.

Beautiful architectural design right on the beach. Service was Excellent all around, like if they rolled out a red carpet at arrival. Pool was small but decent. Breakfast was amazing. The location was good, lots and lots of dining options and super markets. 10 mins from Cuidad Amurallada (Walled City) and 20mins from airport.

Staff is helpful and friendly. Always taken care of and everyone is pleasant. The pool area does not get much sun but the staff there ar2 quickly responsive when your drink is empty.

Nice place to visit. Good customer service and great food within walking distance.

I loved the hotel. The staff was extremely accommodating. Everything is so close too. You can take the hop on hop bus right in front of the casino that's attached to the hotel. Theres so many restaurants and shopping opportunities.
